Very well said Wildflower and Indyharley. You know something oneguy and gothymp? I do believe that Madison area has some great people and upbringing. Oh! I guess I should probably mention most of my relatives come from there, and across the river in Owen, Carroll, and Trimble counties in Kentucky. Maybe that's why I like you oneguy. We're not related are we! lol.

Keep TEMPTING me Richard!!!  Keep tempting me!!!  lol. (the pink bunny suit)

Yes, believe me everyone.....the PGR has NEVER made me feel any less of a member because I don't ride...or because I'm  not a vet!  I have often felt guilty for asking to accompany you guys when you meet up because I'm afraid I'll put a "damper" on things or slow you down!  But believe me all new members.....the PGR does not care about that!  No one has EVER made me feel anything but WELCOME....even being in a "cage"!  And that means so much!  So no one needs to question their membership or their acceptance at the missions because of their mode of transportation or their military background!!  Anyone who agrees with the PGR Mission statement...and chooses to join this wonderful FAMILY is welcome.....  We are here to honor people who have given their life or given their time defending our freedoms and serving this country!  That's it!

God Bless the Lueken family now and always.  Help them to  know that Eric will be in our hearts and our thoughts forever.  And he will forever be one of our heroes!

Thanks!
Wildflower (& Cheetahgirl of course!)
Heck, I'm not a vet, I ride, but I use a cage on occassion (such as Kokomo due to the weather).

If WildbillPurdue and I ride down (depending on date, etc) and possibly a few others from the Lafayette area, you want to hook up with us in the Indy area?  You are more than welcome to.

Chief:

Will you be two wheeling it down?  And if so, what day you thinking about heading out?  I am thinking about trying it day of, i know that means an early start....but the fewer days i take off work, the more days off that leaves for missions and such.  Let me know what your plans are.  WildBillPurdue and I are considering it, I have emailed Steve and Mike here locally to see what their plans are.

here is  a thought...maybe an Indianapolis contingent can all ride down togethr, having an indy gathering point.

howerter1:

If a group of us head down from indy and north, you are welcome to join us in Indy to caravan down.  I am hoping we geta good showing from the northern folks....

I made a dry run today to Dubois In. I wish everyone was going to see beutiful southern Indiana on a better note. It is a beutiful setting and a nice small town, and a great motorcycle ride.they alrady are flying small flags from lightpoles and most folks have thier flags at half mast. There also is a park on the south end of town that are flying flags with a sign honoring Cpl Lueken. This mission is going to be special. I am glad I am going to be part of this to show Honor and Respect for this American Hero. Thank you Cpl Lueken for my freedom that I enjoy in my everyday life....

I picked a spot to meet if anyone is interested in riding down with Sargntmoon's platoon. It's off 37 south of Bedford. Still about an hour ride.I will post time and place when we get comfirmation on this misision. Everyone please be safe riding these roads and let's show this town that Indiana PGR stands ready to show our Repsect for this fine Marine.

P.S. I did note that they are on Central time.....

Jeff, I know about the work thing. I've been working like a chicken with it's head cut off ever since the Indy mission ended and it seems as soon as I get one chicken plucked there's 5 or 6 more running around waiting their turn. I talked with Brett and we will definitely be heading down to Jasper the day before should Kyra, Joe, or Fred need help with anything. I plan on getting a room at the Jasper Inn, the motel mentioned in the thread. I've talked with Onion, too. We're just waiting for a date whenever it's confirmed and released. We had planned on 2 wheeling it down, but if Bob C. or anyone wants me to take some flags down or any other gear necessary for the mission, I'd be glad to do it. In that case I'd trailer my bike and take any equipment/flags, etc. that 2 wheelers may be unable to carry.

It's doubtful I will be going down the day before, that would mean missing more work/kids games/practices.  But i will be there day of, and since they are a hour behind us...CST...it won't be quite so early as i feared.  Besides, I really NEED a good long days ride...has been too long.

We were kinda waiting to put the time zone out... because of.... but since it has been posted.... Dubois county is still on Central time....which means they are 1 hour behind certain parts of Indiana... They are one of a handful of counties that didn't change...

Chief, Brett, Onion, Signalman6869, also coming a day early when we have a confirmed date. This time have 20 flags w/poles with me. Also have a 3x5 American Legion Flag with me, local chapter here wants me to represent them on these missions. My van will look like a one man parade when I get all of them out of the window. Look forward to seeing you all again. We be at the Jasper Inn (motel) also. Might throw in a ice chest this time, but only water in it. Try my best to be a early bird on this one but it is about a 6 hour trip, guess I will be up before the Rosters are.

jgriener, Chief & others,

I plan on making this ride, just waiting on information. If at all possible (nothing at work is more important, unless Boss says it is) I will be there with the flags. If I cannot make it, I will make arrangements for the flags to get there. Like Jeff said, time for a long ride to southern Indiana.

I am in Indianapolis, so when the day and time is set I would be honored to ride with anyone to the south. Except, if my bike does not get out of the shop then some of you guys may not want me to be along side of you because I get real depressed when I am caging it along side 2 wheelers.

Indy,

I understand! Being the supportive guy I am, I offer you this.  If I can make this mission, you can have Onion's spot on the back of mine! Onion says his trumpet is running good, although I do have a tow rope in the tour pac, so he should be cool with it!  Although considering your girth, I may have to go to a tandem rear wheel!  LOL

Hey Richard, guess if you have to cage, I'll have to ask Gary if you can use his "extra" bike a 98 lowrider for this mission. that way you can be on 2 wheels, even if you have to cage from Indy to do it.
