My first PGR event was a couple weeks ago for Corporal McKinzie in Indy. My brothers from northern Illinois rode almost 300 miles on monday night so we could go in support togehter. All I can say is "What an experience". I came in on 4 wheels with my flag flying thru the sunroof, my brothers on their cycles, and stood with hundreds of flag carrying patriots.

A feeling comes over you, even when you don't know the honored fallen hero or the family, as the motorcade passes you by and the flag corridor stands at attention in solemn silence, some of us not being veterans placing our hand over our heart is, well, If you can't feel it, I can't explain it.

Depending on the schedule and work, standing by to honor Marine CPL Lueken.

Supporting those who defend the Red, White and Blue. Thank you.

That would be great.  I'm out of town this weekend but will be available Mon. and Tue.  It sounds like the mission won't be until then anyway.  Think of a place we can meet, I'm in Anderson.  One place I meet others on a ride is the rest area just before the I-71 and I-75 split in Northern KY.

I want to take this time to thank everyone for their patience and interest in this important mission. Desertrose and and I are diligently working behind the scenes to gather as much info as we can so this mission will go as smooth as possible. So thanks for hanging in there.

Jasper Inn....

We do have a Hotel that we will be using and these nice folks are giving the Patriot Guard Riders a discount on their rooms. Our rooms will be $ 49.00 Plus tax and this Motel is located on south Wernsing Rd. in Jasper. The Jasper Inn offers some nice amenties for our convenience such as an indoor swimming pool, weekday continental breakfast as well as an restuarant if one wants a full meal.

When the dates for this mission are finalized, for those that wish to stay at this Motel, please mention that you are with the Patriot Guard Riders.

So please keep your dates open and we will post more information as we get it. Once again... thanks for your patience.. Fred (Triker1)

GOD Bless the USA

gothymp, you don't have to have a bike, we have many members who come in cages (cars, vans, pickups) all that matters is that you are there and that you care.

gothymp and to all PGR members,
A vehicle does not define a Patriot - what is in your heart is what counts. If you have taken the step to join the PGR and agree with the Mission Statement then your heart is in the right place. BTW, you don't have to be a veteran either to be a Patriot. Get to the Mission using whatever means of transportation you choose and wear whatever you feel is comfortable - although I usually say no to pink bunny suits and I know that someone will show up in one someday.

Again the PGR, as shown here by your posts, have stepped up and shown their unselfish compassion for a fallen Marine hero and give their heartfelt prayers for a community (Dubois, IN) that has lost a son and to that son's family.
God Bless you All - You are what makes America, America!!

Mr. "Jake" Lueken - we pray for Eric and your family and your community.
Eric will be missed but never FORGOTTEN and over 27,000 PGR members give that pledge.

Hey new member #27,999! Welcome to the PGR you can ride a donkey if you need to. It' doesn't matter.... :-/
If the weather is bad I'll cage it and garage the bike. We could car pool if you want as I'm in Madison too. Just a thought and welcome.

I can guarantee this... You'll never forget your first mission... Or any after that!

Keep TEMPTING me Richard!!!  Keep tempting me!!!  lol. (the pink bunny suit)

Yes, believe me everyone.....the PGR has NEVER made me feel any less of a member because I don't ride...or because I'm  not a vet!  I have often felt guilty for asking to accompany you guys when you meet up because I'm afraid I'll put a "damper" on things or slow you down!  But believe me all new members.....the PGR does not care about that!  No one has EVER made me feel anything but WELCOME....even being in a "cage"!  And that means so much!  So no one needs to question their membership or their acceptance at the missions because of their mode of transportation or their military background!!  Anyone who agrees with the PGR Mission statement...and chooses to join this wonderful FAMILY is welcome.....  We are here to honor people who have given their life or given their time defending our freedoms and serving this country!  That's it!

God Bless the Lueken family now and always.  Help them to  know that Eric will be in our hearts and our thoughts forever.  And he will forever be one of our heroes!

Thanks!
Wildflower (& Cheetahgirl of course!)

Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.
