The PGR Has Been Invited...
 
 
Event:  Fifth Annual America Thanks and Supports Her Troops Rally to benefit  the Liberty USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey and the Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program.  Additionally, all of the "spectator" admissions (donations) of one non-perishable food item go to the Beacon House Veteran's Home.

Where:  Macungie Memorial Park,
Macungie, PA. (Click for map)

PGR Mission:

(1) T
he PGR will set a flag line for the opening ceremonies at the  Macungie Veterans Memorial in Macungie, PA.
  • Staging - we will stage at 9:00 AM in the parking area that will be set aside for the PGR in Macungie Memorial Park.  It is supposed to be on a macadam parking lot, but riders would be wise to bring a kickstand pad as a backup. The mission briefing will be at 9:15 AM.

  • Flag Line - we will set the flag line at the Veterans Memorial starting at 9:30 AM.  The opening ceremony starts at 10:00 AM and will last approximately 30 minutes.  We will be dismissed at the conclusion of the opening ceremony.

(2) The PGR will set a flag line for the a candlelight ceremony at the Lehigh-Northampton Veterans Memorial at the Veterans of the Vietnam War Post PA 75 in Macungie, PA. (about one quarter mile from Macungie Memorial Park).
  • Staging - we will stage at 6:45 PM in the parking lot of the Veterans of the Vietnam War.  The mission briefing will be at 7:00 PM.

  • Flag Line - we will set the flag line at the Lehigh-Northampton Veterans Memorial starting at 7:15 PM.  The candlelight ceremony will start at 7:30 PM and will last approximately one hour.  We will be dismissed at the conclusion of the opening ceremony.
From the time we are dismissed following the opening ceremonies until we stage for the candlelight ceremonies you can enjoy all the varied activities at the Rally, and the PGR will have a picnic pavilion available for the member's use.  In addition, there is nearly endless miles of scenic country roads to meander on impromptu rides or planned routes.

There is no admission but the public is asked to donate one non-perishable food item that will go to the Beacon House Veteran's Home.

The Patriot Guard Riders are invited to take part in the Fifth Annual "America Thanks and Supports Her Troops" event at Macungie Memorial Park hosted by the Veterans of the Vietnam War PA Post 75

 

We will be showing the "Colors" during the Opening Ceremony at 10:00 A.M. (Please plan to arrive by 9:00 A.M.) at the Macungie Veterans Memorial at Macungie Memorial Park and again during a Candlelight Ceremony at 7:30 P.M.  (Please plan to arrive by 6:45 P.M.) at the Veterans of the Vietnam War PA Post 75

 

Bring your flags and your families.

 

This is a great opportunity to support and honor our troops

and

enjoy a full day of family fun.
