Vennem,
If you are heading east on Main - then you will go right by Reds Corner - I can meet you there around 7:15AM if that would be OK?

Meeting at Red's is good, as long as you think the timing is ok, I'm thinking if anyone is joining up in Greenwood, we'll head out from Main and 65 area at 7.

Big Daddy, Thanks!

Batesville Meeting Area

8:15 is fine by me. Any of you GREENWOOD RIDERS want to stop by we can leave McDonalds anywhere from 8:45AM to 9:00AM to wait on you. See the earlier post about how to get there. It is right off of I 74 though.

It's official, my wife and I will be making this mission, this will be her first ride.

If anyone in the squad is going to be going, please let me know and hopefully we can head out together.  If not, than I would like to meet up with all of you there.

The only problem is it's the same distance from down here as it is from up there, about 120 miles or so.  We will probably head straight there from here instead of heading North first.  So hopefully I will be able to locate you all.  Onion, I know you won't be able to attend as well as Sarge but if Preacher or VArider are going I would like to hook up with ya.  Sarge and Onion, you'll definitely be there with us in spirit.  VA...still looking forward to meeting you brother.

If anyone is leaving from the Louisville area Saturday morning give me a shout as we would love to have some company for the ride.

I'll be doing my best to be at this mission also. Hopefully the weather will hold out like it did for the Clinton Cubert mission. I think we all have red noses (and some red bald heads) Don't know if I'll be going up from Lexington or up from Louisville yet but I'll be bringing the flags from the Lawrenceburg mission with me if people need them. Hope to see everyone there and I know that again, we will honor Justin Sims with the dignity that he and his family deserve.

I just got my "kitchen pass" for this mission and will be in attendance to pay my respects to Lance Cpl. Sims on Saturday. My thoughts and prayes go out to his family.

PeskyJester, I will be leaving from Madison. If you're going this way, we can hook up in Carrollton, KY. on I-71 exit #44. That point is an hour or so out from the staging area.

Lady Ranger, you're most definitely right about the red noses and red bald heads. I'm burnt to a crisp and my nose is blistered, but all well worth it.

Oneguy, sounds great, looking like I will be heading up 71, my email is peskyjester@aol.com   drop me a line and maybe we can get a group thing going along the way, I'm about 25 minutes west of louisville so we will have to plan accordingly.  Hoping to pick up riders as we roll.

Hey Jester, glad your wife will get to come on this one!  That's awesome!  Abigail and I will be caging it from Indy early Sat am.  I know several of the "usuals" are going to Columbus Saturday for a mission.  But it will be nice to see some of you again!  We are looking forward to it (as much as possible considering).

Everyone Ride Safe....and we'll see you there!

Do any of you riders from Indy mind cages tagging along with you if we see you along the way?  With a 6 year old in tow, I'm not sure I'll make the Batesville staging area in time....but i will try.  If that is ok with everyone?

Let me know!  Thanks!
See you soon!

Jim

Red's is a little east, from there, but I'll be leaving Main and 65 around 7A.   We'll pick up Cowgirl as we head east about 7 miles.  ( Red's Corner is the intersection of Acton Road and Greenwood Main or Rocklane Road.)

If that's too far out of the way,  we'll hit 74 at Pleasant View around 7:30. That's the exit past London Road.  Brownie's Marina and the Horse track.  You can wait in the area on the south side of 74 and join in as we go past or we can stop for a moment to wait.

Calling on VA Rider.....You going to be able to make this one?

Sorry for the late post, doing some extra work to make my schedule open for Saturday.  I will be making this mission on Saturday to honor Lance Cpl Justin Sims and his family.  Will touch base in the morning to finalize details but looks like Veneem and I will meet up with Cowgirl and a few others on the way to Batesville.

VA rider, Plan on leaving Greenwood at 7, if anyone needs to meet we can meet at the truck stop a little before, or we can just leave from your place if no one is joining us here.  We just have Cowgirl fall in as we go by if she's ready.

InfidelJim,  are you meeting another Greenwood rider?  Me and Vennem are in the Old Town area, can possibly meet up if it works out.  If not let us know where to meet up.

Cowgirl, where would you like to join up with us?  Since Onion isn't going to be able to make it, looks like me and Jester will have to look after you. LOL

VA Rider - I'm OK with anywhere from I-65 thru to I-74. The greenwood couple are only 50% sure so far, but I'll plan for the same meeting point either way.

I could go to the same spot as CowGirl - so that you guys will only need to stop once on your way out of town. Just let me know where to be.

UPDATE BATESVILLE MEETING I would advise using the alternate route State Road 46 from New Point. The construction they are doing is like putting in speed bumps on the interstate. Cagers you are fine to use the interstate.
Not only that there would be a chance of debris being kicked up in the construction zone. Alternate route is posted n an earleir post.

VARider,  Great to hear from you.  I don't know how many miles exactly it is from Corydon to where you're at but I'm thinking that with the travel time being equal for both of us from where we are to Covington that I will have to head straight there from here.
Once I get there I will look for you and hopefully get in line with you guys at the staging area.
I've seen pics of ya so I know what you look like, anything else I need to be looking for to make it easier to find ya?  I'm on a 2003 black 1200 custom, pretty typical looking bike in a big crowd, not a whole lot to go on.  We'll figure it out.

I'll try to remember to remind you, I might need a reminder myself. LOL

Has anyone heard from Preacher?  Preacher, are you out there buddy?

See you all tomorrow, will be watching the posts until departure time.
