Our deepest and most heartful sympathy to the family and friends of Sgt. Brian D. Ardron. May he rest safely, in God's care and may God's Loving Grace and Comfort be with the Ardron family. May you find comfort and strenght, in the beautiful memories of times you spent with Brian. Quietly and gently, may healing come, with each new day.

Sgt Ardron, we thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. We as a nation mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To Brian's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of your loss-my son was killed in Iraq last year. I hope wonderful memories of your dear warrior help to eventually ease the pain you now endure. Brian will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

From one Gold Star Family to another, you are in our thoughts and prayers.  If there is anything we can do for you...let us know...we are here...Jan and Joe Johnson

Weapon in my hand, ready to roll
Here we go again- our nightly patrol.
Over here it’s the same thing, night after night
Only difference it seems is whether or not there’s a fight.
Sometimes it is easy-going, calm as can be
It’s times like that which worry me.
Gotta stay alert cause you never know
If there is something ahead that’s gonna blow.
One more time we’ll make our rounds
Always praying to make it back to our “home” grounds.
But if by enemy hands we are taken out tonight
Just know it won’t be easy, it will be one hell of a fight.
Whether we’re Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine
We are the toughest boys you have ever seen.

I was talking to a Vietnam Vet this weekend, and he was very emotional about the losses we are suffering. He told me that he wanted the families of soldiers not returning from the war to know that he grieves every day. He grieves for those soldiers in this war and those that they lost in his war.

Your country absolutely grieves with your family the loss of you in their lives. There are no words, ever, that can take away any pain, but please know, that you are not alone in your grief. You have an entire nation grieving with you, praying for you, and holding your hearts and tears in our hands and hearts.

Soldier, thank you from the bottom of who I am, that which makes me whole, I stand for you, and will never forget you, you gave your life for me, and that makes you my hero.

You allow me and my family and millions of others the ability to sleep at night.

SGT Ardron, thank you for standing in the gap between my family and anyone on the face of the planet that would wish them harm just for being Americans. Your nation called and you heard the call. What's more, you answered the call. You never meant to give your life, but you were willing to do so if it came to that. It has come to that and now we have lost a hero. A hero, not for how you died, but for how you lived. You took up arms to defend your homeland and at the same time help a people who have never known freedom pull themselves out of generations of tyranny. There is honor in that, Daniel. You have given the most precious gift you have to give. I won't let that go unacknowledged.

My family and I offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fellow soldiers of SGT Brian Daniel Ardron. May God wrap His loving arms around each and every one of you and lead you through this most difficult of times. May He strengthen you and comfort you as no other can.

There are no words that I could offer that would take away the pain or fill the place that just feels empty now. If there were, I would surely offer them now. But please know that you are not alone in this dark hour. Patriot Guard members share in your loss. America...the REAL America...shares in your loss. We will not forget.

When you come to the edge of
All the light you know
And are about to step off
Into the darkness of the unknown
Faith is knowing one of two things
will happen:
There will be something solid
to stand on
Or you will be taught how to fly.
