I was notified this evening of the passing of Sgt Jimmy R Lee of Pomeroy OH. Jimmy was a was a PGR member, a decorated Vietnam Veteran, and Purple Heart Recipient. He was taken from us by a blood clot that formed after knee surgery and caused a stroke. Jimmy was an active member of the local American Legion and VFW. His sister has asked that we attend his funeral services.
To Jimmy's family and friends, I offer my condolences. From the conversations I had tonight with a couple of them it sounds like Jimmy was a person I would have enjoyed knowing. Unfortunately I will not get that opportunity. Let those who he touched in life be grateful and share his memory that he may not be forgotten.
Mission Itinerary as follows:
Staging Location - FISHER FUNERAL HOME 590 E MAIN STREET POMEROY OHIO
Staging Time - 0930
Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 1100 with interment immediately following the services.
Tom Pittman has accepted the role of RC for this mission of respect. Please follow his postings for additional details.
PLEASE BRING YOUR FLAGS and be prepared for warm weather. |

Brother Lee,
Thank you for your service to the PGR and for standing for those who fell on the battlefield. We also thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom.
