Our thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of Sargent Travis Pfister. May the good Lord comfort you at this most difficult time. A greatful nation shares your grief.

Travis is a true American hero and will not be forgotton. We thank you for standing up for the many priviliges that we sometimes take for granted.

I'll be picking up the dog tags in Lancsater friday and will not be able to be there.

I will be proudly standing by to ride with Travis and the Patriot Guard on saturday.

Anybody coming down form the high desert saturday?

I would like to add my condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. Thomas Pfister, and my profound gratitude to Sgt. Pfister for his service and sacrifice.
At the same time we bow our heads to say 'good-bye', every American stands a little taller knowing that Sgt. Pfister was one of us. He WILL be missed, and WILL NOT be forgotten.
While I will be unable to attend the service for Cpl Saba, I will be with the PGR in spirit, and will remember Sgt. Pfister again when I attend the services for Capt. Jennifer Harris on Monday.
Rest in peace, Marine.

[Regrettably I probably can’t roll from North Hollywood for this mission.]
[Question:  "vests"--reflective because of a base safety rule or PGR organization vests?]

The last time I rode toward Camp Pendleton--to an Oceanside PGR mission for a veteran from my generation, Vietnam, USN '66-70--a pickup truck drew alongside.  In a quick glance (80 mpg) I saw the driver—from Sgt. Travis Pfister’s generation--render a crisp salute, no doubt seeing Vietnam and Desert Storm ribbons on my bike.

Across generations, among what some civilians would call "strangers"— Sgt. Pfister, that young man driving, and every veteran put to rest—are renewing meaning to the sacred words "We the People."

I humbly honor Sgt. Travis Pfister as if he were a son or father, brother, uncle, grandfather, nephew, neighbor, close friend.  Because he is.  All that and more.

"Fair winds and following seas," shipmate.

Journalist, USN, USNR, 66-96, Vietnam, ODS (Retired)

Ride to honor memory of Dad (WW II Army) who taught me the meaning of patriotism and uncles (Korean War Army and WW II Navy).

As a MAG-39 Combat veteran myself, I feel the pain of losing a fellow Marine. But my pain cannot come close to the pain of losing a son and a loved one as you have. I pray that the Lord will lift you up and comfort you during this time of grief and sorrow.
