Update 15 FEB 07 1710 MST by Zippy

Stand Down

Our participation has caused a division in the family.  Our mission is to honor, not divide.  This family has enough grieve to deal with without the PGR adding to it.

We will honor Sgt. James R. Tijerina by being there in spirit, please keep JR and his family in your prayers.

We are working on getting permission from the family to attend the services. I have made contact with the PAO and have the contact information for the CAO whom I am waiting for a return call from.

Rick and KP are helping with trying to find family contacts. Sgt. James R. Tijerina is expected home by the weekend with the services being early next week in Katy, this is all tentative.

Please stand ready to our this fallen hero from our area.

Sgt James R. Tijerina, your watch is done. You may now rest in peace and we thank you for a job well done. You give us our freedoms along with those who have stood with you and gone before you.

Thank you, Sgt. James R. Tijerina for your service to this Nation. It is because of Patriots such as you that I am able to sit here and do the things I do here in this "the greatest country in the world". The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a Nation grieve with you in the loss of one of our Nation’s best. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.

You don't have to love war, but you do have to love the Warrior!

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, James.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.
