DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO CORNERSTONE GOSPEL CHURCH:
Duncan Falls, Ohio is on State Route 60 approximately 9 miles
south of I-70 @ State Route 60.
FROM ZANESVILLE:
Exit I-70 at SR-60 (may be labeled Underwood), take SR-60 south
and continue on SR-60 until you reach Duncan Falls. Street names
in Duncan Falls are POORLY MARKED, so turn LEFT at the BP
Station. That will be MILL St. Proceed east on MILL Street
until the Cornerstone Gospel Church (BIG CHURCH) is visible
up the hill and on the left side of the road. Go on UP the hill until you encounter the Church’s entrance to the left. Park BEHIND the sanctuary and below the Barrack Youth Center. Park in a line
next to where the grass WOULD BE if it wasn’t snow covered.
Parking that way will allow us to get out before the services
have ended.
FROM MARIETTA:
North on I- 77 to State Route 60. SR 60 north until you
reach Duncan Falls. Once again, streets are poorly marked.
Turn right onto MILL St. at the BP station (Mill Street is not
marked with a street sign).
SAFETY FIRST:
In this weather even though the sun may be shining through,
temperatures can and will be, brutal. MAKE SURE that
you dress warmly, have good boots and good gloves. This
would be a good day to wear two pairs of sox!
Do not stand on the Flag line too long without a break. I
will do everything I possibly can to make sure that everyone
gets a break at least every half hour. There will be
appropriate facilities for "rest" and to warm up.
Let’s make
this a safe ride and remember: This is all about Respect and
Honor for this Hero and his Family.

A country's patriotism is not measured by how high they fly the flag or how loud they sing the National Anthem, it is measured by how they treat their warriors.

MISSION COMPLETE After Action Report:
Cpl. David C. Armstrong Zanesville, Ohio February 10, 2007
Cpl. David Armstrong, 57th Military Police Company, 8th Military Police Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, United States ARMY Pacific, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii died from injuries sustained February 1 in Baghdad, Iraq.
The Patriot Guard was honored and privileged to assist his family and friends in bringing Cpl. Armstrong to his final resting place at Zanesville Memorial Gardens, Zanesville, Ohio.
The men and women of the Patriot Guard braved bitter cold to provide a brilliant display of American Flags at both the funeral and his place of interment. I am proud to note that 23 men and women of the Patriot Guards were in attendance.
Heartfelt appreciation was openly expressed by several family members.

| Hello, This is Clp. David Armstrongs parents. We sincerly want to thank each and everyone of you that attended David's service's. It was bitter cold out there that day. We can't say enough about what you do for the family's of fallen soliders. Everyone we talked to was so impressed by you standing there with your flags. I'm so glad that my brother went out to shake your hands. We started a memorial for David at the Zanesville Police Dept. K-9 division for his love of dogs. That's what he wanted to do when he got out of the service. David got to work with a dog in Iraq who rode with him in his humvee. His Cpl. Keil said the dog loved David and David loved the dog. His name is lasso. His Clp. said the dog would have his nose in David's ear when he was driving and David would be petting the dog. His Clp. said Armstrong keep you hands on the wheel and stop petting that dog.
They came up to some speed bumps and his Cpl. didn't know what David was doing when he grabed the radio to talk to the lead humvee and said, hey can you slow down a little bit you gotta take it easy on the dog. We think it would be wonderful if they could get a dog and name him Dave. They would also have the police car saying in memory of Cpl. David Armstrong. If anyone wished to donate please send it to Zanesville City Police Dept. K-9 division. 332 S. St. Zanesville, Ohio 43701
Feel free to pass this along to everyone. We thank you all for you condolence letters. You are making a difference in the lives of the familys who have lost a loved one. We are so proud of him and want to keep his memory alive. Thank you again. Dave and Marcie Armstrong
