Thank you,

Pat Moritz, OR State Captain (WA State Captain requests this as well)

Mission update for the Casey Casavant, Black Water Security and US Army Ranger Veteran.

I just got off the phone with Leslie, assistant ride captain for this mission. We are pleased that we got some people to come escort the hearse to the funeral home. For short notice in the middle of a working day that is excellent. I only wish I could have been there.

The funeral for Casey Casavant will be Saturday 2/3/07 at 1030hrs at the Central Assembly of God, 2001 Central Avenue, Great Falls, Montana.

Call to Muster:

The Patriot Guard Riders and supporters will muster at the Central Assembly of God at 0930hrs on Central Avenue. Bring your Flags, and your respect.

After the funeral, the Patriot Guard Riders and supporters will break and run ahead to the graveyard outside of Cascade, Montana. We will regroup at the bridge that crosses the Missouri River and then proceed to the graveyard and form a gauntlet of flags for the funeral procession to pass through as they enter the cemetery.

Dress for cold weather.

CONFIRMED MISSION:

Casey will have final services at Cascade, Montana. I have been in contact with the family and they have asked PGR to attend. This Hero was a Army Ranger, separated from the Army and went to work with the Blackwater Security company. He was the gunner on the helicopter shot down on the 23rd of January.

Monitor this thread for Ride Captain appointment and other information. This may be a two state mission as he was living in Washington state and there will be a service in the Olympia area as I understand things now. More on this when information becomes available.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Casey.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

RIDE CAPTAIN APPOINTMENT

This mission is assigned to Mark Volkomener and he will be assisted by Leslie Postlethwait.

I would ask both Mark and Leslie to post contact information here so others can contact you if needed. I would type it myself but there seems to be quite a bit of water leaking from my eyes.

Casey, rest easy for your mission is done, ours is just beginning. The Montana PGR will stand for you, as you have stood for us.

God saw you getting tired, but peace was not to be
So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we prayed when we learned you passed away
And though we loved you dearly we could not make you stay

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best

May God bless and keep you during this trying time. We are proud and humbled that this soilder would pay the ultimate price for billions of people he's never known.

My regrets and sympathy to the family of Casey Casavant. The U.S. Army is a family of soldiers, from the very beginning to the present, and this is a sad time for us all. There are words from a West Point anthem which follow: "Grip hands with us now though we see not, Grip hands with us, strength our hearts; As the long line stiffens and straightens with the thrill that your presence imparts, Grip hands tho' it be from the shadows...." My respect and salute to Casey Casavant. God Bless, Boot to Boot, I'll see you on The Green.

I have been in touch with Mark about muster points in Great Falls and a possible muster point in Cascade. I contacted a friend of mine in Cascade to get an idea of where would be a gool location for a possible locale for such a place in Cascade and he will be betting back to me in the next 24 to 48 hours. As soon as I know you will. He is a close friend of the family as well. I asked about the location of the cemetery from Cascade and will post details in a few days...for obvious reasons.
In the meantime, here is my contact information:

Leslie Postlethwait

e mail me and I will get back to you right away

Ask me, I'll tell you how to get there...They dont call me "GPS" for nothing!

Mission update for the Casey Casavant, Black Water Security and US Army Ranger Veteran.

Casey’s fiancée Kim Wegner has requested our presence because Casey often spoke highly of our mission.

Staff Sgt, Casey Casavant separated from active duty on 6/28/2004, he loved his country and went back to Iraq as a security agent with Black Water Security.  As many of you know, his helicopter was shot down on January 23rd over Iraq. Casey was the door gunner. The initial reports from the terrorists that they executed the occupants proved to be a lie. I am told that he died at his post instantly. That alone deserves our greatest respect.

I am currently expecting the Casey Casavant mission to be this Saturday Feb 3 in Cascade Mt. I do not know how or when he will arrive. I will update this string as I get the information.

Our state captain found the following hotel information in Cascade: The one hotel at http://www.cascademontana.com/badger.htm has rooms for $50.00 per night double occupancy.

Great Falls is 30 Miles to the north and Helena is 60 miles to the south along Interstate 15.

There is no evidence at this time that any “uninvited guests” are expected.
