Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of 1st Sgt. (R) Darryl Gosset. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know he was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Darryl.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

Hey All, I'm Darryl Jr, Thank-you for your thoughts and prayers for my father, they are so much appreciated. Everyone knew dad as "Bob" and he was so proud of his service and he loved this country. He was with 25th Recon unit in Korea, was wounded in an ambush 1950 but wasn't awarded his purple heart untill a couple of years ago thanks to a long lost army buddy who was with him back then.

He went to Viet Nam with "F" Troop 11th ACR...the first to bring Tanks in country, in fact we received a phone call today from his Commanding Officer Capt. Batt, he said he would fly in from Florida and speak at the funeral...Bless his Heart! What an Honnor that will be.

Also our entire family is so honnored to have the "PGR" participate in my fathers funeral. My dad always did like it when he saw you protecting the families of fallen Heros from protesters, and I know he will be proud to have you all with him when he's laid to rest. I know it's going to be cold and I appreciate you all, believe me I know, ...I ride a Road King to work almost every day.
Again, thank-you all,
Darryl E. Gossett Jr

Daryl - thank you for the backround informatin on your father.  I'm so glad that 1st Sgt. Gosset was finally awarded his purple heart.  My father was a WWII purple heart recipient but I never knew it until after he passed because he would never talk about.  That kind of selfless service by our fathers makes them true heroes.  True then.  True now.   God's eternal blessings on your father's soul and peace and comfort to you and your family in the days ahead.  Know that your father and his heroic service will not be forgotten.
