NO MISSION, Chief Warrant Officer James E. Whitehead, 33, of Hawaii. D Troop, 4th Squadron, 6th U.S.Cavalry Fort Lewis Wash. No information from DOD, since this was training mission in Enumclaw, Wash not a war Casualty. Only information was from The News Tribune Published: December 24th, 2006 01:00 AM.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fort Lewis officials said Chief Warrant Officer Patrick J. Paige, 32, of Georgiana, was killed, along with Chief Warrant Officer James E. Whitehead, 33, of Hawaii, and Sgt. Thomas L. Clarkston Jr., 25, of Indiana.
All three soldiers were assigned to D Troop, 4th Squadron, 6th U.S.Cavalry, according to the Army. The aviators were on a scheduled night training mission preparing for anticipated deployment to Iraq in the spring.
The News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash., reported that a witness, Charles Van Hoof Jr., saw the helicopter fly over his home, hit a large tree and crash 400 feet up the mountain behind him.
Van Hoof and his wife were the first to reach the crash site. They led King County sheriff's deputies up the steep, snowy mountain to the debris field.
"When they hit that tree, it was over," Van Hoof said. "If they had went another 20 feet higher, it would have gone over everything."
My sincerest and deepest sympathies to the family of  Chief Warrant Officer James E. Whitehead
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want; he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
I send my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Chief Warrant Officer James Whitehead. Your watch is over and your comrades who have gone before you have welcomed you into heaven. Everyone in this country should honor you and your fellow helicopter crew members for your ultimate sacrifice while training to protect our nation’s freedom from those who would cause terror against us. I salute you, sir! We take so much for granted in our day-to-day lives, but we must never forget the thousands of soldiers and airman who are deployed in foreign countries; fighting to protect our freedom. In memory of Sgt. Robert Kassin, Sgt. Leroy Segura and Captain Evans; along with the many men and women deployed from Cannon AFB, you are all heroes and thank you for protecting our country.
To the family of CWO Whitehead...
What words could possibly help during a time like this…
When we know not what we should pray for as we ought, the Spirit maketh intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26
So let not your heart be troubled, for your loved one has gone to the place which Jesus has prepared.
Stand down soldier, your mission here is complete.
==============================
When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes the Dark Warrior, the purveyor of good, with a voice of silence and a mission of justice. - Steve "Sting" Borden
To Cheif Warrant Officer James E. Whitehead
A great man once said, "Poor is the Nation that has no Heroes, Shameful is the one that, having them, Forgets".  We will never forget the duty, service, honor, faithfulness and sacrifice you have given to our nation.  You are now in the great cloud of witnesses cheering us on.  We will not falter, We will not fail, We will not weaken.
To the family of Cheif Warrant Officer James E. Whitehead
I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. (Lincoln to Mrs. Bixby 21 Nov 1864).  We will continually be praying for your family at our church.  God is strengthening you.
