The following is the final itinerary for all of the Austin portions of this
mission to honor one of our finest.  Please note, there has been a slight
change to the staging information at ABIA this evening (02 DEC
).

Escort: Saturday, 02 DEC

Staging Time: 2200 (10pm)
Location:  US Airmail parking lot (large US flag out front)
Directions:  From Hwy 71, turn onto Spirit of Texas Dr.  At the 4-way,
turn RIGHT and follow the road to the US Airmail facility.  This is near
the gate that we enter to go onto the tarmac.
As stated earlier, CPL Ledsome is due to arrive at 2329 this evening on
Delta Flt. 1408.  It could be later, so dress for sub-freezing temperatures
and please come in cages.  A short escort out of Austin will follow his
arrival.  RC for the escort mission is John Nelson.  John is attempting to
have DPS to provide an escort all the way to Brownwood.  All LEO contacts
have been made for local portion.

Return to Austin:  Sunday, 03 DEC

Following the funeral in Brownwood, CPL Ledsome is due to return to Austin
and is expected between 2000-2100 hrs. where we will ready with a corridor
of flags to honor his arrival.
We will be in contact with the funeral home as to exactly when they depart Brownwood.  RC for the remainder of the mission in Austin is Chuck Murphy (BadNad).

Staging Time:  1900 (7pm)
Location:         Cook-Walden Funeral Home parking lot, 6100 N. Lamar
Directions:       the funeral home is located across Lamar from the DPS
offices at Koenig and Lamar
Again, dress warmly and cages are advisable.

Visitation:  Monday, 04 DEC

The PGR will not have an official presence at the visitation, but members
 may attend if they desire.

Dress warmly in layers for cooler morning hours and be able to remove what
you need as it warms up.

Funeral Services in Brownwood, TX - Sunday, December 3, 2006
The services for Cpl Ledsome will begin at 1400 hours at the Cogging Avenue Baptist Church

Ride Captain
The Lead Ride Captain for the Brownwood portion of this Mission is Ben Huerta.  The Assistant RC's will be Carl Carroll, Doug Simon and Bruce Burrell.  Ben can be contacted at whispanic@gmail.com or 325-212-7813.

Stand Tall and Silent,

***********************************************************************

CPL Ledsome will be arriving in Austin tonight, 02 Dec 06 at approx. 2329 (11;29pm) on Delta Flt. 1408 at the Delta Cargo Terminal (East side of ABIA).  Due to the back log of air traffic created by recent storms, anticipate that he may be arriving later.  It is our intent to be there to honor his arrival with a flag corridor.  Due to the lateness of the arrival and expected low temperatures, we are asking that you show up in your cage (with flags attached if you have them) and be dressed for sub-freezing temperatures.  We are tentatively planning a short escort out of Austin with cages only.  We are asking that as many as possible to be there to stand tall and proud in support of this young Marine who gave his all for us. Any sacrifice we may make pales by comparison to the one he and his family has made. The RC for the escort will be John Nelson, 512-203-3550.

Staging: 2200 (10:00pm) Parking lot on Spirit of Texas Drive.  Directions:  From Hwy 71, turn onto Spirit of Texas Drive and proceed to the 4-way stop.  Approx. 75 feet beyond the 4-way, turn right into the parking area.  Delta Cargo Terminal is on the East side of the terminal.

Details for the Brownwood and Austin services are still being worked out, as are our plans to meet him when he returns to Austin approx. 2000-2100 hrs. on Sunday, 03 DEC.

When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. I learned of this loss from my sister earlier today. Craig was one of my brother-in-law's best friends and they were serving together in Iraq. I cannot stop thinking about Craig, his wife and young son. My heart breaks for this young surviving wife and I feel it hits closer to home because she is one of my sister's friends. My thoughts and prayers and of course shoulder and support are here for the family of Cpl Craig Ledsome. Thank you for your service to our country and your sacrifice. Megan I am so sorry for your loss. I am here if you should need me. Take care of yours and young Caelub. I will be in touch soon. Many hugs and tears.
