SHORT NOTICE!!! SHORT NOTICE!!! Bravo Battery 1-115 FA, National Guard Unit out of Shelbyville, TN Calling this the Midnight Special Mission! The Bravo Battery 1-115 FA unit out of Shelbyville, TN is returning home on Friday, November 17, 2006. This will be a meet and greet mission similar to the 913th that we did last month. The 1-115 unit was stationed next to the 913th Engineers and were aware of our welcome home mission for the 913th back in October and wondered if we would still be riding this late in the season, and if we could be there for them when they got back. I said SURE. So I know this is short notice, but let's see what we can do. Meet at the Indianapolis International Terminal at 11:15PM (22:15) Directions: Airport Expressway to bottom of hill, veer right and follow road (High School) to the outer parking and BP station. Go through the light, past the BP and turn on the first road on the left - follow back to the terminal Probably not escorting them to Atterbury, so just greeting them at the airport, but if you were there the last time, this is a great experience to be able to see them touch US soil for the first time since being deployed. Details on when they leave Atterbury for Tennssee are forthcoming and we will have to see what involvement we could provide, if any. URGENT - Just got a call - flight is 30 minutes early - due to arrive at 10:15PM (22:15). Try and be there at 9:45 if at all possible - sorry about the short notice. Also there will be a second part of this mission - they will be leaving Atterbury on Tuesday, November 21 and head for Shelbyville, Tennessee. Will post later on the details and coordination with Tennessee.

Ride Report Even with the confusion of time, due to my error and changes in flight times, it was a great turnout to welcome home these fine soldiers. Thank you to all who braved the cold on the bikes and staying late until all the soldiers were on the bus. To all the families that were there that night, you made the evening as you greeted them as they disemarked from the plane and continued your enthusiasm until they came out the door. It was a great honor to be part of this welcome home and we look forward to doing the escort down to the Kentucky line.
