I have emailed waitaminit to say I can be in Lititz on Friday for this mission.  My first opportunity to participate in honoring a veteran as a member of PGR.  Heartfelt condolences to the family of Captain Davis.  My dad, a WWII USMC vet, is standing by on the welcoming committee on the other side, I'm sure.

Mt deepest condolences to the Davis family and friends... I just watched the video interview on the WGAL website and Capt. Davis's ordeal and outlook on life is incredible. Truly an American Hero.

I urge every PGR to check that interview out, Captain, U.S.Navy, Academy Graduate, Fighter Pilot, Shot down in '65, repatriated in '73... POW 7 1/2 years in the 'Hanoi Hilton' and more...

I Thank the Davis family for the priviledge to Stand in Honor and Respect of Captain Ed Davis...

My wife and I will be there.

To the Family & Friends of Capt. Davis, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss of this great American Hero.

Captain Davis, you have my utmost respect and admiration for your service to our country. I was not old enough to serve when you were shot down over Vietnam. Learning that you spent 7.5 years as a POW and watching a replay of your interview of the experience, I truly wish I would have known you personally. I wonder what your captors thought when the pup you adopted turned up gone also. You never gave up. Thank you Captain Davis, you will Never Be Forgotten.

Our condolences to the family and friends of Cpt. Davis. It will be our humble honor to stand for this American hero.

Cpt. Davis addressed an Association of United States Army luncheon gathering 4-5 years ago at Tobyhanna Army Depot in NE Pa. A most dynamic speaker and positive person to be sure, the Tobyhanna Veterans Council planned to invite him back for the dedication of our POW/MIA Memorial at the depot. (2007) We will be placing an engraved stone in the memorial for Ed, a small symbol of our gratitude and thanks for his service and sacrifice.

The colors will stand proud, your mission is ended. Thank you sir, and Welcome Home!

Capt. Davis, if you didn't hear it often enough here, I'm sure the words rang especially true coming from St. Peter: "Welcome home, brother."
We may not get there before 5pm, but I will be at this gathering and will bring at least a couple new riders with me.
