06 Nov 2006 10:09 AM Alert

FINAL ITINERARY UPDATE:

Staging will be at 09:00 at Follansbee Middle School.  This is about 300 yards north of the funeral home on Rt. 2.  Look for 2 stone pillars on the northbound lane, a sign marked "Follansbee Municipal Park".  At 09:45, we will proceed to the funeral home to take our position in front.

I met with the family, and they are quite appreciative we are going to be there.  We will provide Sgt. McClain with a missing man formation, with the rest of us following the procession.

When we leave the funeral to go to the cemetery, we will have a police escort, set up by the funeral home.

AT THE CEMETERY, KICK PLATES ARE A MUST !!!  WE WILL BE PARKING IN GRASS !!  IT IS A VERY REMOTE CEMETERY WITH LIMITED ACCESS, SO BE PREPARED TO "BUNCH UP".

The family is very "down-to-earth" and I hope we have a good turn out.

         Ride safe,
         Ron J.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pennsylvania Members- SGT C.J.McClain:

The funeral is at 11:00AM on Saturday the 11th of November. West Virginia staging will be at a Middle School in Follansbee WV, on the North side of town on RT 2 directly across the street from a Burger King , the only Burger King. Therefore, if you are riding over on your own I would suggest those from the North, work you way down to RT 22 West, take it to Wierton and turn onto RT 2 South, Burger King is on the Right, school is left. Those coming from the East or South, take I70 to RT 2 North Exit off I 70,this is the first exit after going through the tunnel, so make sure you are in the RIGHT HAND LANE GOING THROUGH THE TUNNEL. Then turn right onto RT 2 North, follow it to Follensbee go through town and you'll see the Burger King on your left the school is across the street on your left.

I am gonig to leave the McDonalds at 8:00am sharpe, travel over RT 50 West, then onto RT 2 North, once on RT 2 North I am going to stop and put up the big flags I have for the Trike and proceed the two miles into town and the Middle School.

Anyone wanting to join me you are more than welcome. The McDonalds is in Bridgeville, PA which is Exit 54 off I 79

Vewings are Friday the 10th - 2:00 Pm to 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. These are being handled by the WV PGR Ride Captain either Ron or Joe.

After the funeral ceremony at the Funeral Home we will proceed about 9 miles to Eldersville, PA for the full Military internment ceremony.

Ride Safe, God Bless

To the family of Sgt McClain,
What words could possibly help during a time like this…

When we know not what we should pray for as we ought, the Spirit maketh intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  Romans 8:26

So let not your heart be troubled, for your loved one has gone to the place which Jesus has prepared.
Stand down soldier, your mission here is complete.
