The ceremonies will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210.  Staging will be in the parking lot located at the Center.  The parking lot entrance is located between the Center and the Westin Hotel.  If you are coming east on Summer street from downtown Boston (Route 93) you will go by the Center and make an immediate right at the Westin; after entering stay on the right, go down the ramp on your right and the parking lot is on your left.  The parking fee is $10.00; I could not get it waived.  Due to the different directions from the north, south and west, please do a Mapquest search for directions from your location to the Center address.  We are staging here due to safety; it would be impossible to move a group of bikes and cages through downtown Boston to this location.  We will form up in the parking lot in the area directly behind the cashier's booth.  We will either take the shuttle bus or walk to the ceremonies.

It is up to the individual RCs to post meeting points for their areas but please keep the safety issue in mind as this area is extremely congested.  I would advise all cages to go directly to the Center and not travel with the bikes.

RIDE CAPTAIN:  Justin Brashier, MA State Captain
ASSISTANT RC:  Attenting MA Ride Captains
STAGING TIME:  1:15 - 1:30

PLEASE BRING LARGE FLAGS

Jim,

Thanks for the invite on this one.  I'm so glad I didn't miss it.  It was an unbelieveable honor to be a part of the 1/25's memorial for their fallen brothers.  It was something to witness as the Marines said goodbye.  A ritual normally held in the desert that none of us back home see.

The accustics in that room as the bagpipes played and the drums roared just rumbled across the ceiling.  At first the drums sounded like incoming it was so loud.  Was I the only one who jumped?

I don't think there was a dry eye in the building as the roll call was done.  "Cpl King"  "CPL KING"  "Cpl Paul N. King", "Cpt McKenna"  CPT MCKENNA" "Cpt John J. McKenna".........

A list of names familiar to all of us.

I was humbled to be given the honor to kneel before the helmet, gun and boot display to pay my final respect.

To the 1-25 Marines; your fallen brothers will not be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever.

To the wounded of 1-25 who made the journey Friday, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Hugs from NH,
Nonni
