This was my first mission and I was very proud to stand with my
brothers and sisters of PGR. You all are truly awesome folks.
How can I describe this mission? I hope that somehow I/we gave
the family just a portion of the healing and comfort that participating
in this mission gave me. Parts of the mission were difficult for
me; but the mission made me proud to be an American, proud to be a vet,
and proud to be a member of PGR.
I want to thank Sig22 Dslowpoke for looking out for me and there are at
least five others who took me under their wings. You know who you
are and I owe you debt of gratitude that I cannot properly express and
certainly not repay. The final touch was when a brother took a
mission pin from his own vest and presented it to me for my first
mission. While I may not be able to repay that brother, I can
pass the wonderful gesture on to another newbe - and I will.
As a Goldstar Dad, I had the privilege of talking to and sharing with a
Goldstar mother for whom this was a first mission also. I admire
her for taking part so soon. I hope that, at the least, I was
able to let her know that she was not alone and that she was a very
brave lady.
I can't say that I look forward to standing with you all again; I wish
from the bottom of my heart that we would never have the need of such a
mission. But when that mission does come our way, I could not
stand with a better group of people, anywhere, anytime. It is an
honor to serve with you all.

| Carl, I was an honor to stand with you today. No, it is not an easy thing to do. But you will find that the love of country or what ever it is that you experience is far and above the tears that flow. Hoping that we can meet again on a ride to bring the troops home. |

| It was an Honor to meet you today during this Mission and fellowship afterwards with some of the Patriot Guard Riders family. You never know what is going through a mans mind but pray that you may be the crutch there when needed. Enough said by me. |

Carl, thank you for being there yesterday. I know that it was a difficult thing for you to do. I hope to see you and Mae Lyne at some time in the future....on a "feel good" mission preferably! |

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
