Jeff, Joanie, Randy, and the rest of the Hoschek/Conlon family,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Charlie was always one of the "good old boys."  His "family" included so many through the years - friends, coworkers, customers.  I was fortunate his life touched mine.

Thank you, PGR, for honoring our buddy.  Although he'd shy away from the attention, I'm sure he'd be pleased to receive this honor.  And, like so many of our forgotten Vietnam vets, it's great to see Charlie get the welcome home he never received.  He deserves it.

I'm sorry I can't be there in person.  I will be there in spirit.

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect.
