This is an Idaho “Help on the Homefront” Event and all PGR members are encouraged to attend.

These are Veterans from only 3 of 90 funeral homes in Idaho. For what ever reason they were not given their final honors or resting place. November 9th they will be.
The Patriot Guard Riders shall continue to assist with other individuals and organizations to seek out remains of Veterans, help verify identification of service and attend to pay final respects to these Veterans of our Country in their resting place.  We will continue until they all are home.

Initial response....I am shocked to think that there is even a need for this Project! I guess "life" happens to us all and things fall through cracks and are forgotten.

Thank God someone saw this need and is addressing it.

I will be offering my immediate assistance to the Directer of the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery (who is also my VFW Post Commander) to help in any way I can with this Project.

May these souls  Rest in Peace.

I will be attending this Mission in Boise,ID.

I cannot come to grips with the fact that some of "US" are sitting on shelves in the United States. This must be rectified.

Aside from those sitting in Funeral Homes, I feel there are lots of Cremains in family homes sitting in closets or on fireplace mantles, that would welcome the PGR's help in getting them the Respect and Honor they deserve.

It is time for those that "care" to "Walk the Walk". We the PGR, will offer a safe haven for all to receive their Military Honors.

I know that it's highly unlikely the families of these Patriots will ever read what we say here. But, for that reason, I want all of you PGR members there to know that this is a good and honorable thing you're doing! At the VERY least, every veteran deserves a proper burial at the hands of those who honor and respect them for their time and sacrifice defending this country.

I only wish I could be there to stand with you.

Thank you all!

Deke

All -

Piggybacking on DirtCook's note below, I will leave the Twin Falls area at 0630 Thursday to join up with the Mountain Home riders at 0830. If any would like to accompany me, please send a post offline and we can decide on a rendovous point.

If weather conditions prevent a motorcycle event, I can carry 5 additional bodies.

Idaho has been fortunate to not have been as hard hit as some other states; let's check our schedules and do what we can to support this worthy cause!

Mission Complete--Just returned from the service. What a powerful ceremony. We had 11 bikes, a couple of vehicles and over 29 people (not to mention all the military and community folks in attendance) there to honor these Heroes. The Honor Guard Teams from each branch of Service did an outstanding job. It breaks ones heart to know that these 22 souls are only a drop in the bucket compared to the number of Veterans that may be out there that never got the proper Honors they so rightfully deserve.

If you're runnin' down my country, man, You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
