Officer Smith,
Thank you for your willingness to serve and protect the community in which you lived. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, law enforcement brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and chose to protect. Your watch is now over. You are truly an American hero and the community in which you lived is a safer place because of your commitment to serving its citizens. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. | Our heartfelt condolences go out to Officer Smith family, her community and her department. As we are seeing more and more of our Officers are being targeted in ambushes, while performing their duties. To lose your life to a gun wielding thug for the only reason they do not want to go to jail is totally unacceptable, Mary thanks for your sacrifice, and for making our streets a lot safer for our children, you will never be forgotten.
I would also like to thank each and very PGR member for also honoring my Law Enforcement brothers and sister, and also ask that the Blue Knights stand up also and show up in masses to honor this wonderful hero.Mary your shift is done here, please take your place in heaven and join the other heroes who have passed before you. Another sad day in Alabama as another hero passes. |

Officer Mary Smith, rest in eternal peace. May the good Lord give comfort and understanding to her family and friends.
To the heinous murderer, may he never see the light of freedom that Mary spent the last 21 years providing the people of Birmingham and Fairfield.

As a retired police officer from Maryland and a PGR member, may I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Officer Smith. I would also like to thank Officer Smith for her service of more than 20 years to the citizens of Alabama. She cared so much that she gave her own life in service to her country. May God bless her and her family in these terrible times. I pray that you will all receive the strength to see you through and the peace that passes all understanding.

| My condolences to the family and friends of Officer Mary Smith. This is indeed a sad morning for all who care about the preservation of all the standards of goodness that have made our country great. We owe a great debt to all who have placed themselves between our loved ones and the forces of evil, and we must carry on in their stead. All honor and respect to Mary Smith, and may Our Heavenly Father watch over her family and comrades in arms through all the days and nights to come. |
