I want to thank all of you for what you do and what ou are going to do for my fallen friend Nick Rogers. First I would like to welcome you to the Patriot Guard Riders. We understand that not all members ride and don't have to. You are more than welcome to show up in a vehicle. (Known as a cage). Second. It is our Honor to stand for this American Hero and that the family invites us to do this. This is for RESPECT to those who lost life defending our freedoms.

To the family of Spc Rogers. What words could possibly help during a time like this? When we know not what we should pray for as we ought, the Spirit maketh intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 So let not your heart be troubled, for your loved one has gone to the place which Jesus has prepared. Stand down soldier, your mission here is complete.

When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. Old Cop,
If you come to Exit 108 in Deltona, about 5 minutes from staging area, you will find Waffle House, IHOP, Denny's, Burger King and McDonalds. Ride safe and keep the rain gear handy!!! |

Not sure if all this will show up but in case it does I thought I'd try. Just in case someone didn't know where they were going. I put the Instructions from I-4. Its about 20 miles on I-4 to the exit if you come from the East. Hope it helped. Paul and I will be going from the SR 400 and I-95 onto I-4. If anyone is coming from the North down 95 to I-4 let us know and we can wait for you.

| And if coming from Orlando (or Daytona), you can take Exit 108, turn left (coming from either direction...still a left after exit) , then left at first light (McDonalds on left)...that's Deltona Blvd. Staging area will be on the left just past first light. Fewer traffic lights that way. |

| This will be my first mission and I should meet you all at the church. By the time I get off work and change, I should get there around 0900 - 0915. I am honored to attend this but also a little nervous not knowing what to expect. I am sorry I didn't get the chance to meet others during your meet and greet during Biketoberfest. See you there. |

Thank you Al. I'll be keeping each one of you in my prayers both before bed, and upon awakening. This will be my first military funeral since 75'. Don't have to tell you what that was all about, but at a very tender age, I attended no fewer than 6. This will be a real time warp for me, but I'm more than proud to do this. Hope you make it to gorgeous FL soon, can't wait to meet you (all)!

| I will get the ride report started this evening. I wanted to take a minute to apologize to the family, friends and PGR family for my early departure from the service today. Unforseen circumstances pulled me away from completing our mission today. I know that the PGR Family supported the family and friends exemplary. Thanks to so many who were able to attend I know your efforts did not go unnoticed. A special thanx to the new members who came out for their 1st mission, AWESOME. And I would be remiss in my duties if I did not mention our fine folks from all of the M/C's that attended. My memory fails me but now that I and my PGR Family appreciate your support today, Thanx so much! |

It was my distinct honor to be able to ride today, to remember the supreme sacrifice of Spc Rogers, an American hero. Because of you and those like you, Spc Rogers, me and miine will sleep safely tonight. Thank you.
It was also an honor to share today with a fine group of people as the Patriot Guard Riders. With each mission my pride grows that I may call you my brothers and sisters. And especially to all those who today rode in their first PGR mission. Now you are truly among us. |

I can say it was an honor to ride with my old and new friends to honor this Hero. I know that everybody present felt pain and sorrow for the widow, child, family and friends of Spc. Nicholas K. Rodgers. I posted some of the pictures from today at this website.

| This was my first ride and words can do it no justice. At first I was like a fish out of water, then I started meeting others and I realized I wasn't the only 'rookie' there and all the 'veterans' made me welcome. I hope I never have to do another ride, but will do so without any hesitation. Thanks to all that made me feel like I belong. |

| Another Mission to Honor an American Hero, What an emotional thing to be in the staging area and to see so many people arriving. to show their respect and honor for this fallen hero. Time and time again I saw things that would bring a lump in my throat. As we arrived at the cemetary and I saw the couple standing beside the road holding a flag with his cane leaning against his leg. Was almost too much. Tears rolled. Once again I say, it is such an honor to be a part of this Group. And may it condtinue to do the things it does. |
