From the Desk of the National President, Betty Pulliam,
-2006]
Have you ever been in a whirlwind courtship? Well I became
President on July 11th, and it seems like it's been that way ever since, or
would you call it a Kansas Tornado?
When I arrive home from the convention, I was met at the
airport by a group of Vietnam Veterans and VFW Auxiliary Ladies with a bouquet
of roses, which was an unexpected and lovely gesture.
I was in Washington D.C. for two weeks in July. On the
19th I attended the ceremony to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Dept. of
Veterans Affairs. It was held in the Rotundra of the capital of the United
States.
I came home to attend a family reunion. On the 5th of
August I did a Patriot Guard Duty at a Veterans funeral. On the 13th I attended
a Patriot Guard Memorial Dedication, honoring parents of soldiers killed in Iraq
and Afghanistan.
Love, Peace & Unity, Betty Jean
