My sincere condolences to the McFarland Family

Some things I would like to add.

This man is the dad of Neil McFarland. Neil is a member of the PGR, from Iowa City.

Joseph McFarland, his obituary took up 2 columns in today’s Ottumwa Courier.
He was awarded the Purple Heart, four Bronze Stars. The Combat Infantry Badge, a Presidential Unit Citation, and a letter from Gen. Mark Clark for appreciation of service to the fifth Army. He also received a Citation from Gen. Charles Bolte for outstanding performance of Duties.

PGR members I hope as many of you, that can. Be there to Honor this Hero.
This will be a flag line only, no escort. I have rounded up six flags on poles so far that I can bring. I urge you to bring some if at all possible. Any one that might be coming from the Des Moines area and could get with Tamijo and bring some flags would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you can.

The funeral is at 10:00 am. I am told that the body will arrive at the church at 9:30 am.
I would like to have the line set up by 9:15 am. We will stand down during the service, and be back in place before it is over. Weather is expected to be 47 degrees, and cloudy.
Parking is going to be a problem. I will do a search and find out mission in the morning and report back on that.

OK We have been granted permission to park at the Robertson-Jay Funeral Home. It is the next building, just north of the Church on N Court.

The hearse and family members will arrive at the church at 9:45 AM. So I will have a briefing at 9:10 AM. In the parking lot and setup the flag line at 9:20 AM.

The town of Ottumwa is full of construction but is not to bad to get around in I hope the maps help. The Funeral is at the corner of 4th St. and N Court

When one bleeds, we all bleed, When one is taken from us, we all feel the empty void.
In the deepest part of every true patriots heart, is a pure positive energy that so truly desires to let your family know that your loss is also our loss. I know this is not always something that can be explained by a few simple written words no matter how hard I try to use my words to embrace you in this time of your family heart ache.
With Our Deepest Regret, And Our Highest Respectable Humble Regard, We openly shed more than just tears with you. Our heart aches knowing your feeling an aching void. Our heart ache is truly in honor felt for your loved one. It will be an honor and privilege for the Trophy Club Texas Bikers to stand tall, proud, respectful, silent and mourn in silence even at a distance from the state of Texas and continue to show our support to a heart broken family.

Neil & the rest of the McFarland family. Thank you so much for allowing us to be there today to honor your loved one and our hero. His accomplishments in life were many as was evident by the amount of people that came to pay their finial respects.

Gentlemen and Lady of the PGR that were present today. Thank you so very much, our lines looked awesome, with the flags blowing in the wind. My wife works for a local bank in Ottumwa. I saw some of the officers of the bank going into the service. She said when they came back to the bank, they told her to tell me. That we looked really good.
Thanks to all of you for doing an excellent job.
