I agree with indyharley! This could get messy and we MUST come out of it STANDING TALL. We must take any abuse that comes our way.

indyharley and all,

I just saw the report video indy refers to in previous post. I will not go into how I feel about those doing
this simply because I know you all feel the same.

As I had posted earlier I'll be leaving Marysville Ohio early Monday.

This appears to be a time when someone may be testing our emotions.

I can't express how important (regardless how hard) it is going to be to remember why we are going
and what we represent. A large turn out and RESPECT for SGT Jones, his family and friends is all that matters.
(some of us can get together afterwards, have a coffee and let our feelings out.) Needless to say this story
just went up the priority list of the press and locals.

OK I'm done. I'm sure I have said the same thing all of you are feeling. I was just so upset I had to post
something probably as much for my own good as anything else.

God bless SGT Jones and his family.

Butch.

Respect for the military has sometimes been lost. This should not happen again....ever.

The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by.

I was thinking the same thing. However I also thought about how the ug's work. They would love for us do something like that. Knowing full well that "things might happen". They would be ready with vidio camera in hand. And there you go another few thousand bucks in the pocket of the wbc.

I would think that we let the neighbors and LEO handle this matter.

I for one don't know how long I could hold back in a situation like that.

I totally understand everyone's emotion to what is going on with this hero's family. I absolutely have faith that the fine folks of PGR will be honorable and respectful and deal with this in the manner we are known for. Godspeed to all going on this mission and may the family of SGT Jones find peace and solace very soon. Rest in peace SGT Jones, you are our hero.

This morning on the local Indy News it was reported that the family's house was vandalized, egged and their American Flag stolen during the night.

This is so sad.  God Bless this family and be with them.

Part of what is going here is that some group wants us to over react and do something stupid and yes it would be stupid for any of us to do anything outside of the law at this point. I personally would be ashamed if any PGR member drew negative attention at this point in time. YOU are BETTER than those doing this to the family. I assure you the local PD is on it and yes that will not alleviate the stress on this grieving family but if we did anything negatively it would create a circus atmosphere and I would bet my life that that would be added stress beyond comprehension for this family. I will be heading to Kokomo via 31 if anyone wants to meet or suggest a place to meet - probably meet time at 6AM since I like to be there as soon as I can. I will again talk to the mother and if she has any requests I will pass it on. Folks details are being finalized and should be posted by the Ride Captains by Thursday would be my guess.
indyharley,

Like I said earlier I am only 17 mile from Kokomo and could be there in 15 minutes. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, this goes for the Ride Captains also as I would be glad to do anything. I will be out of town on Saturday but back by 9:00 pm or so. If you need help to recon the staging area let me know. I might could get the National Guard armory if you think we might need a place to get warm, let me know and I will pursue that avenue. I don't if this is doable or not but I will check on it. I look forward to meeting all the PGR members as this will be my first mission!

Everyone,
With the additional stress that the family is under now do to the actions of a few stupid people it is imperative that we focus on our mission of Honoring the memory of Sgt Jones and supporting his grieving family.  Our mission is one of non-violence and high moral  ground.  Please come out to honor this brave hero and the sacrifice that he made for his country.  Everyone at National appreciates your restraint on this mission.

For me there is no other agenda than to support the family, honor Sgt Jones, and hope we instill in the minds of the family that there a lot of patriots that deeply appriciate what this family has sacrificed. This is not a club thing, or an abate thing, or a political thing or a publicity thing. This is an act of respect, honor and kindness.

I will be there and meeting with local Kokomo riders at the west side K-Mart at 9:00 am Monday the 6th. We will then leave from there to meet up with the others at the (not yet announced) PGR staging area. This is the original location announced by my emails and we will keep it since it is only a small drive down Dixon and Center Rd to get to the PGR Staging area.

Just got word!  I WILL be able to join in this mission!  My FIRST!  I'm so honored and humbled.  I will be 4 wheeling it.  And might not be able to stay long as I'm coming from Indy and have limited time off work.  Can someone give me an "average" itinerary how these things go?  Time span, etc.  Thanks to EVERYONE for EVERYTHING!  I couldn't be prouder to be an AMERICAN!

Love and Peace to Sgt. Jones family!

Sure is nice to have all you new guys aboard.

Wildflwr1967 .... your looking at 3-4 hours.

Staging area.. 45 min to an hr.
1 hr before the funeral
1 for the funeral it self.
then maybe half hour for people leaving the church
then to the grave sit
45 minutes at the grave site.

These are just some rough numbers from my past experience.

GOD Bless the USA

Wildflwr1976,
There will be other cagers leaving from around the Indy area if you don't want to make the trip alone.  If the weather doesn't cooperate, I may be caging it myself and I think VArider out of Greenwood is 4-wheeling also. I think we may try to link up somewhere off 465, westside as I come in from Avon.  Give me or Jim (VARide) a yell if you want to ride along.

I have one and will be happy to bring it.  Will bring a digital still as well.  We all need to keep our behavior in all this very positive........let the protesters appear as the fools.
