I am humbled in respectful awe at all of you who support and take time out of your lives to bring respect and love to each of these fallen heroes! I am so hoping that I can participate in this ride! It would be a pure honor! I will have to see if I can get time off work however. It's darn near impossible for me. But I will do my best and let you know. What is protocol? Do PGR's come out for funeral only? Or do they attend visitation also? I am in Indy...and don't have a bike....so I would be coming up on 4 wheels! I will confirm either way! Thank you ALL for your time, dedication and respect. Peace be with Sgt. Jones and his family at this time. And I hope they can find some solace in the brave and proud moments this soldier graced them! God Bless all!

Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.

Hello, I just signed for this organization. I live about 17 miles from Kokomo and would be priveledged to included in this mission. I am a full time National Guard soldier and would need some lead time to take leave. Does the ride Captain contact the members in the area for this or what happens? I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance and look forward to helping this cause!!! Support our Troops!!!!!!!!

MSG_Dyna - the Ride Captains try to let everyone know when/if feasible - final details will be posted here. However, the ride to Kokomo, IN will be 3/6/2006 barring any complications. Staging area has not been determined officially yet but the Ride Captains are working on it.

My condolences to the family of Sgt Jones. I had the honor of meeting Rickey at a couple of our local ABATE functions and I am glad that I was able to thank him for his service to our country (being a Marine's mother I do that for all the military people I meet).

I am also a friend of Sgt. Jones' father, Rick Fields, and I was planning on attending this service if at all possible (work permitting).

Hugo, looks like we'll finally get to "have that cup of coffee". Unfortunately, it will happen under the wrong circumstances. I'm only an hour Northeast of Kokomo. Might be a good idea for anybody passing thru Peru to group up with Chief_Investigator. Chief, maybe we could meet up at Gallahan's at US24 and US31. Just a thought.

Condolences and RESPECT for Sgt. Jones and his family and friends

I just joined a while back and I would like to do this ride so I'll be watching for the particulars as well. I live down by anderson in Middletown just in case anyone else is from this area.

Thanks guys.

Great idea headhog. Gallahan's Truck Stop would be a great meeting place for any Northerner PGR members wanting to hook up before the ride down to Kokomo. I've seen many posts from NW Indiana, Michigan, etc. Several riders will be attending from Russell's group (Russ' Barn & Grille), so I know we'll have them in the pack heading down as well. They were going to meet at my house, so we'll just ride to Gallahan's and meet up with you and any other PGR member who wants to join us. We'll need to post a time for anyone wishing to meet us at Gallahan's US31/US24 after we get confirmation on a final time and staging area from the Ride Captains. Sounds like a plan!

Kirk and Hugo, I'm new to the Patriot Guard having just signed up. I read the article that was recently published in the Kokomo Tribune and was impressed. It made me feel really good to know that there are other vets out there who are passionate about our fallen heros and their families GETTING the RESPECT they DESERVE. I live in Russiaville, just west of kokomo, so if I can help let me know. Otherwise, I look forward to the ride. That is if you don't mind an old Goldwing  riding along.

First off, I want to say thank you to all for doing what you do in support of those brave soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and supporting their families in their time of need. You are true American Patriots. I am a full-time National Guard Soldier who lives in Kokomo. I went to high school with SGT Jones, graduating a year before him. My deepest sympathies go out to his family during this time.

Folks - it is imperative that every available person show up on this mission it is just important as our others but some unscrupulous characters are harrassing this family in unusaully alarming numbers. The local PD is on it but I, you, we want to show for this family and any future family that no one will deter the morallly principled American PGR Patriots. Having said this - PLEASE, PLEASE no one take anything into their own hands - I've talked to the mother several times and she is a strong woman and considering the circumstances is handling this harrassment well and the local PD is more than capable at their job. We will make our statement for the family on 3/6/2006 by the numbers of people that we have there. Ride Captains will post anything further.
