HI: I talked to Rich Sale ( Parade Day Programer) about head gear ,he said he didn't see any problems wearing soft gear as we are on the parade route, but asumed that we wouild put our helmets before hitting the hwy; being we will be traveling less 5mph...option.....too I ask the Va /plus him about wearing Class "A" ;said that be all the better!! Short...single digit man....Hoooah.././ Professor

Phillip, I appreciate your enthusiasm for this event.  However I would ask that you please let the Ride Captains handle issues such as this.  When the Ride Captain calls the organizers of a parade, or our contacts in dealing with an honor mission, to ask questions and are told that someone else has called it makes the PGR look as if we are un-organized.  Thanks for understanding.

Anybody want to hook up from the Athens area?  We can set up a staging area and time if there is any interest.   Otherwise I'll Lone Ranger to the Varsity getting underway about 0630.  Wear your Mucklucks.

I will be wearing my "impressive display" of two ribbons, plus my Dolphins and Patrol pin now affixed to my vest.

I'll be caging it from Loganville, I'm guessing going pretty much the same way, more or less (according to MapQuest, Hwy 138 to I-20, to 75/85 (exit 57), etc etc). :) I hope I don't get lost...never driven to the varsity on my own before, lol! (i'm so directionally impaired!). I will be swinging by the Chick-Fil-A in Loganville before heading downtown to pick up coffee & coffee fixins for all. I PLAN on being at hte Varsity around 8, no later than 8:30, so that anyone who wants to eat (biscuits, donuts, coffee) will have time to.

Luv to all,

ok -- please tell me (in great detail) EXACTLY where that is, and at what time... & remember, I wanna be at the Varsity no later than 8:30 so folks got time to eat.   went by wally-world tonight (again) and got:

O.J. (coffee has been ordered from Chick-fil-a, will pick up at 6:15 a.m. Saturday - PLENTY for ALL, belive me)
and for the biscuits:
Bacon
Eggs
Cheese
Sausage patties
(bought the bisquick a couple nights ago)

And thats about it.

I won't be in my normal cage (the green ford hatchback with a gazillion magnets on it) but you'll know it's me cuz I'll be flying two American flags and a PGR flag.

Luv to all,

Kat the P&R is at I-85 and Indian Trail. JayDub is staging there at 8:15 and we're going to swing through there and head to the Varsity. The game plan is to be at the Varsity at 8:45 though. I doubt we'll get there by 8:30. We'd love to have you with us but you guage your time.

Doug, looking forward to it brother.

Hmmmm... well, since I wanna make sure I'm there before everyone else, or at least, amongst the first to get there, since I have the food & all (& lots of it, so please show up HUNGRY), I'll just wander on down there myself, much as I'd like company to avoid lost-ness, lol - I should be alright, the varsity is a well-known landmark and I should be able to find it ok.

FYI. We have been invited to a concert and celebration in Suwanee after the parade that is being out on in association with The Freedom Alliance. This is not a mission, just an invitation from the organizers. They remember us from the homecomming for the 48th. It will be held in the center city park in Suwanee starting at 11:11 and it will continue all day. There will be things for the kids and lots of fun. Remember, this is not a part of the mission, just an invitation to anyone who would like to attend. If you need any other information see me at the stage tomorrow.

Didn't mean to ambush. Just wanted to give a heads up.
