I just spoke with Brian Weeks, and he will be escorting this mission with the QCLaw Enforcement Officers Memorial vehicle. I can't wait to see Brit's face when a squad car and a bunch of bikes shows up in his father-in-law's front yard. Also, Quad Cities Family In Support of our Troops is going to have a flag line and several members waiting for our arrival at the airport. I just checked the weather, and it is supposed to be cold, but dry. So let's show our appreciation for one our own heading over the pond.

I was sorry to miss this one... I'm "on call" this weekend... I saw the tail end of the mission as I was heading for work. A couple of PGR bikes were leaving the airport.... Flags flying proudly..... Riders looking cold. Good work PGR.

Mission Complete:

We had 4 bikes come, 2 with big flags, and the QCLEOM vehicle. Was slightly chilly, but was a great ride to the family home in Cordova, where we met with Brit and the rest of John Sample's family. What a great bunch of people. After some picture taking and conversation, the big bike flags and QCLEOM vehicle led us smoothly to the airport. I had contacted QCFIST to establish a flagline to greet this fine young man ahead of our arrival, and had approximately 15 people waiting for us. More photo ops, handshaking and hugs ensued and it was a great time had by all. We are all looking forward to seeing Brit on his return in a year. Dedicated troops and their families are what makes us tick, and this was another fine example of our service to them.
