I am looking forward to paying respects and honor to this hero and to help in some small way to comfort his family.  It is a great honor for us to be invited to this celebration of his life, a most personal and tragic moment for this family.  I can only hope that our presence helps.  America does care and love our military, thankful for what they sacrifice for us.

I have spent the last few days riding in the rain, so my wife prefers I cage it to this one.  I usually try to make her happy, usually.  I will be a bit late to the staging as I don't get off until 0700, but rest assured, I will arrive.

Please all be safe in your journey to this mission.  Bring flags, along with your heartfelt gratitude.

The family shall feel our love this day.  For we love our freedom, and vow to enjoy and apprciate it, for a most dear price has been paid for it.  We owe it to these men and their families to recognize why we have these freedoms and our way of lives.  It is because of present heroes and those of the past, cut of the same cloth.

The life of 1st Sgt. Charles M. King will forever be in our hearts, his memory, and this day, never to be forgotten.

Rest in peace, we have the post now.  Your family will feel the love of strangers, and you will feel the love of Brothers.

Enjoy your life and freedoms, for a most costly price is being paid for them. Support those that pay that price, and sacrifice, FOR US.

weather post!

PGR's, we are in for a nippy morning. Bedford is due for 41° and some rain. Dress warm, rain gear would be good too. "It doesn't rain on the Army"; don't let it rain on 1SG King or the PGR. Leave early, ride safe. Seeya in the am.
