I was happy to help Tater with this one, and I forgot to tell him I joined a week ago and thus haven't made a mission yet, before he made me temporary Ride Captain.  Oh, well, he won't get my rank without a court martial!

I wanted to find some covered shelter for us, and as a firefighter I was hoping to get a fire station, but, alas, none close enough.  I told Tater I would be at the stage point by 8 a.m., but I'll be getting off duty at 7 a.m., as long as nothing catches on fire (referred to as a good work by the fireguys (and girls)). Anyway, I'd like to get at least one person from nearby to commit to an early arrival, if at all possible.

Email me, and I'll front you my phone number.

Itinerary change! Follow previous directions to the Lee Rd. exit from I-480. Turn south (also the same direction) and PASS the Marathon station at Raymond and Lee (former rally point). Another .3 miles and you'll be at Libby (SR17) and Lee Rds. Head for the video store on the southeast corner. Nice big lot and nobody home. This stretch of road is very heavily travelled, both side roads and Interstates, and you'll see a LOT of construction in this area. Plan accordingly

Grainger Rd. Exit turns into Libby Rd and is also Rt. 17.  This video store is South of the Marathon previously posted.

My heart goes out to 1SG King, his family, his friends and all of his troops.

I plan to make it out for this mission.  My body isn't exactly up for riding in this weather, so I'll be there in my cage.  If space is needed for flags, etc. -- I drive an '88 Delta 88 and will make sure the backseat is empty.

Mornin'

I served the entire tour as a Drill Sergeant with Top King. We also moved to Ft Hood and have spent time thoruhgout the past 10 years. I, and my Battle Buddies are tore up over this one. We have lost friends, and our own Soldiers during our tours. Top Johnson (Rich) and Top McFarlane (Joe) and I have spent some time to talk about King, his families loss is our loss too...my heart goes out to his family and the PGR for your service to his memory. My faith is lost, but my heart is strong...Army Strong. Please treat this Warrior well, my great memories of my time with King will last forever...we will keep him with us! Should I ever hear a dispairiging word...I will crush the server, I am my brothers keeper!

On Fiddlers Green Soldier, we will meet again!
