I was touched by Mrs. Richway thanking every person for being there. The chilly ride there didn't seem so cold after all after talking to her.

God blessed us all. He held back the rain.

The lady holding the flag and shaking everyone's hand commented how our tribute would "do him proud" if he saw it. Somehow I like to believe we are seen.

My heartfelt gratitude for Mr. Richway's service to our country and my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Alvin Richway. We have the watch .. it is your time to rest.

“Rest your head now, weary soldier. Cast your weapons to the ground. Close your eyes and feel the peace.....Heed not our earthly battle cries. There is no post for you to stand. So rest now as He carries you within His loving hand. ..... Walk in the sunlight of the spirit free of war or pain and fear. Your duty here is done now as ours will someday be, so go with Him now to places only heroes ever see.” - Neva Brooks, ''Hero's Reward''

Hope everyone made it home safely and was able to "thaw" out. Even in the cold, the family took the time to come around and thank every one of us. Mrs. Richway said that having us there made it so much better. God Bless the Richway family.
