Unfortunately, my work schedule doesn't allow me to attend this one. I truly wish I could be there to honor this young man.Peace and blessings to your family, Soldier.
Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. We now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

Despite the short notice and the website problems on the one day to get the word out, this mission did go forward. Honor and Respect on behalf of all 58,000 Patriot Guard Riders and a grateful nation was shown to this Heroic Veteran of two wars and over 16 years of service. The family was very thankful and appreciated our presence. We held Flags Up from start of Visitation at 10 am until the body was put in the hearse, at which time salute was rendered. Had time to then pack up and still be in the procession to the cemetary. American Legion had two posts on hand at the grave site, with full color guard and firing squad. Thanks to American Legion Post from Minford for the firing squad and American Legion post from Lucasville for the Color Guard. Was a beautiful ceremony on top of a hill in a small country cemetary. Just as the services ended, two jet fighters flew overhead. Obviously on training run, but yet, perhaps, a larger hand directed their time and flight pattern that day.
Thank you to the Micheal family for inviting us there and for the wonerful hospitality shown. You are truly one of the great families that makes America and great and free country. Your generations of unselfesh sacrifice is a tribute to your values and patriotism. May Lewis Michael rest in peace knowing he has been an inspiration and a figure to be admired to many younger people who's life's he touched. I heard a few of their stories yesterday, and have no doubt there are many, many more.
Thank you again, Michael family. Prayers and best wishes to your family members as they continue to serve this great nation. Groundhog |
