| If there is no escort (or even if there is), anyone who wants, can meet up at Richmond HD (just south of Ashland). And if the weather is bad, we can carpool, and leave what ever vehlicles not needed at Richmond HD. That way we can be in the HOV lane coming home. |

Hey Buce (rbiggs),
i am hoping to take the day off on 27th... do you have any sense of staging time at Richmond HD? If you recall, i will be coming from Roanoke. I am trying to decide if I will be at ANC for the day, work allowing (i.e. earlier for other PGR missions) or for the 'possible' escort for CPT Adcock...gotta time the ride from the Star City...thanks for any info..feel free to email direct if that feels better.... i will keep watching thread as well....

******Mission Update*******
October 25th we will be staging at Woody Funeral Home
Staging Time: 3:30pm Sharp. in back parking lot.
I will arrive at 3:00pm. The Family will be showing up at 4pm, so please be as timely as possible. (earlier is better) We will set up a Corridor of Flags at 3:45 out in front of the Funeral Home. If you don't have a 3 x 5 Flag, stop by Wal-Mart and grab one! They even have them at Lowes and Home Depot. The Service is scheduled to be over at 7pm
The address is 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville VA http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype= address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address= 9271+shady+grove+rd&city=mechanicsville&state=va&zipcode=
Off of I 295, You want to exit 41A HWY 301, heading east-north-east. Shady Grove rd is a stop light not far from the interstate. Woody Funeral Home is on the corner of 301 & Shady Grove Rd. Right hand side (easy to find)
Oct 26th Church Service at Grove Avenue Baptist Church 8701 Ridge Rd, Richmond, VA Staging time & place will be updated by the 21st. We have to consider Rush Hour Traffic. Service Starts at 5pm There will not be an escort from the Funeral Home to the Church.
Oct 27th Arlington National Cemetery @ 3:45pm There will be No Escort from Richmond to Arlington. Most likely a staging time at the Iwo Jima Monument, but I'll let the Arlington Ride Captain determine that.
This is what we all joined PGR for, Lets make this a big showing for our Local Soldier.
Any questions, please feel free to shoot me an email. rbbiggs@cox.net

Written by an American Soldier in Iraq "If I die before you wake - I pray the world will take a good look at what God has given us." I mourn the loss of an Amrican Hero and I ask that the Lord bless and put his loving arms around the family and dear friends of Shane Adcock. The Patriot Guard Riders will never ever forget that we owe our freedom to men and women like Shane, who have the courage to give their life so that we may live free.

PGR;
Again I ask you to take care of one of my Wolfhounds since we are not there to do it ourselves. The Soldiers of the Wolfhounds thank you in advance for all you will do in support of this family of Wolfhounds. Shane was a inspiration to not only the Soldiers of this team, but also to the Iraqi Army Battalion that he trained and fought along side of. From Iraq, the entire Wolfhound team of 2-27 Infantry sends the family of this great American our heartfelt sympathy and we pray that the Lord provides you the strength and understanding that Shane died doing what he loved doing and fighting for the innocent people of this country that are oppressed and brutalized by criminals that only offer death and destruction to the nation of Iraq and the world. NO FEAR!!! |

******************Mission Report Parts 1 & 2 ****************
Weds. Oct 25th, 5 of us met at Woody Funeral Home @ 3:30pm, to Honor Capt. Shane Adcock and his Family. The weather was sunny but cool. We set up a Honor line on either side of the main entrance and stood proud from 3:45pm to 7:00pm. Thanks to Carl Sprouse, Paul Rulli, John Super, and Mike Philips.
Thurs. Oct 26th, 7 of us met at the Grove Avenue Baptist Church for the Church Service. Beautiful sunny and warmer day. Staged at 3:30pm. We set up an Honor line on either side of the Church entrance at around 4:00pm, to welcome the Family and Friends. The Church service started at 5:00pm, in which we took a half hour break. We went back on Flag duty at around 5:30, this time setting up the Flag Line around the hearse. Shortly after, members of Capt. Adcock's unit brought the Flag Drapped Casket out to the hearse. PGR came to attention and Saluted an American Hero. Thanks goes out to Wayne Adcock (no relation), Carl Sprouse, George Hofferber, John Super, Dick Linn, & Paul Rulli, for the Job Well Done.
Also, A Big Thank You, to Captain Shane Adcock, his Family and Friends, for your Service to our Country. God Bless All of You. You will forever be in our Hearts.
