I will be there this evening. Still working on tomorrow and Friday. I have several meeting conflicts, but I will try to be there. I presume someone is bringing the large flags. I have my standard small flag permanently mounted, but I don't have a large flag of my own.

Just to let everyone know it will be tomorrow before we have an exact location for Friday morning.  I went by the church today and I'm talking major construction, with VERY little parking.  Will meet with Church Director tomorrow after the Purple Heart Ceremony for planing.  We are looking at Kickstands up at approx 0745 Fri to head to the church.  Louann will post sometime tomorrow exact time and location.  At least now you can make some type of plans on when to leave your part of the state.  Just remember this will be downtown Phoenix during rush hour.

Are any other Tucson/points south riders going up Friday? If so, where do we want to meet up at here? Has the staging area in Phx been set?

Mrs. Armijo I wanted to THANK YOU for allowing the Patriot Guard to escort Santos home. He is back in Phoenix. 31 bikes wrapped around OUR hero, followed by the Phoenix Fire Department. It was truly an honor to be a part of this evening.
Thank You So Much!

What is address of Church? American Legion Post 1 at intersection of Grand, 7th Ave. and Van Buren might make a good staging area if near there.

We still don't have a specific time to meet at the church. Or are we going to just meet at the church.

SOAZ riders let's meet at the Chevron in Marana. If the staging time stays at 0730 Phx, we need to be KSU by 0630. I’m guessing an hour to Phx as Marana is ½ hour out of Tucson.

Its a little bit more than an hr from Marana to the outskirts of Phx at hghway speed. The way it looks we will stage near downtown and that is stop and go traffic from just south of Phx all the way in. I would suggest kick stands up from Marana at 6:00.

Just so everyone is clear...instead of trying to stage elsewhere to arrive at the church, we are all going to meet at the church. We can set us there, without risking rush hour traffic into downtown Phoenix. The visitatin is from 0830 to 0930 followed by funeral services from 0930 too 1100. We will then escort our Hero to the cemetary. Complete addresses are on page one of this thread in the very first posting.

Ma'am,

Thank you for honoring SPC Santos Armijo and protecting his memorial from those who wish to dishonor him and his family. My soldiers and I are of course saddened by his absence from our ranks, but happy to hear that you will ride in his honor. You have my permission to post my email address. Thank you once again for protecting the memory of our fallen heroes, it means the world to us.

Respectfully,
