ITINIERARY UPDATE


Staging will be at St. Mary's Church, 400 E. Monroe.  Southeast Corner of the property.
We will stage at the church at 7:45.

From 7th Street go West on Monroe to reach the church.


With Deepest Regrets….an Arizona Hero is Coming Home for His Final Duty Station

The DoD notification listed his name wrong. Spc. Santos R. Armijo.

Santos family has invited us to honor this hero, their Hero. His mother Tina, Sister Santana age 21 and Brother Alfonso age 18 and Santos fiancée Genavieve have been very gracious. Santos and Genavieve were planning to be married April 2008 upon his discharge.

Services will be held at St Marys Church at 400 E. Monroe, Friday Morning October 13. Viewing will be from 0830 til 0930. Catholic Mass is scheduled from 0930 to 1100.

Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery at 2033 Nth 48th Street following the services.

Staging info is pending.

ANYONE AVAILABLE FOR ESCORTING THIS SOLDIER FROM THE AIRPORT WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 5:30 PM PLEASE EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY. SECURITY NEEDS NAMES AND LICENSE TAG INFO TO ALLOW YOU ON THE TARMACK.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties

        The Department of Defense announced today the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Taji, Iraq, on Oct. 2, of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle. All four soldiers were assigned to the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. 

        Killed were: 

         Staff Sgt. James D. Ellis, 25, of Valdosta, Ga.

         Spc. Santos R. Armijo, 22, of Phoenix, Ariz. 

         Spc. Justin R. Jarrett, 21, of Jonesboro, Ga.

         Spc. Kristofer C. Walker, 20, of Creve Coeur, Ill.
