06 Oct 2006 9:34 AM Alert

GOOD MORNING: With the Patriot Guard Riders 1st Anniversary coming up soon on November 9 (Thursday), 2006, I'd like to form a ride dedicated to the Patriot Guard Riders nationwide and to the fine Riders of the Dixie Region. What I'd like to do in Alabama is on November 4th (Saturday), we form up in Birmingham, Alabama at 9:00 a.m. (staging area to be selected later) and ride to Fort Mitchell (Phenix City) Alabama and have lunch then continue on with our ride to Montgomery, Alabama where we can all get a room (Holiday Inn will give us special rates) and then have dinner. After, I will have a hospitality room open at the Holiday Inn for all to gather, talk and share our experiences. I think it is something that we all need to do and I think it would be a lot of fun at the same time. So, tell me your thoughts on this issue by leaving a thread here regarding the "1st ANNIVERSARY RIDE FOR PGR". As soon as we have enough committed, I'll start making arrangements. The rest of Dixie is invited to do their own Anniversary Ride or participate in ours here in Alabama. Thanks for taking time to read this and for posting your thoughts. Take Care, God Bless and Ride Safe. Dinky

When I have received a total of 10 riders committed to this ride, I will make 15 reservations at the Holiday Inn under my name. When I have a total of 40 riders committed, I will rent a Hospitality Room and stock it myself. Besides, I told everyone in a post when I moved from Alabama State Captain to Regional Captain that I would throw a Promotion Party with all the extra money that I'm receiving with the pay raise that I received with the new position. :-)  Dinky

OK, SLAP ME SILLY: Didn't realize that the 11th was Veterans Day. SO, let change it to the November 5th (Saturday) instead. Same times, dates and locations. Sorry, should have had a calendar next to me when I started this post. I changed the original post below to reflect these dates. Dinky

BIG SURPRISE - BIG SMILE, BIG SMILE:

Twister has just notified me that he thinks he may be able to fit this in his schedule. It would like to meet with all that attend (informally) Saturday night when we open the hospitality room. Gee - Twister and the Hospitality Room?!?! Anyway, now's your chance to meet and spend some time with Twister. Snap, Woo Woo, CJ and I have spent time with him and his lovely wife in the past and he is quite a character (I meant Leader)! So plan on being here and get your reservations in early. Dinky

Dinky,
Thanks for the invite (like I didn't wrangle my way in) :)
I'm going to do my best to make this...can't think of a better way to celebrate our first anniversary.  Would love to have a little time for an informal meeting with any of the members in the area to chew the fat.  I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks again.
