Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. We now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

To the family of Sgt Lannaman: What words could possibly help during a time like this? When we no not what we should pray for as we ought, the Spirit maketh intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 So let not your heart be troubled, for your loved one has gone to the place which Jesus has prepared. Stand down soldier, your mission here is complete.

==============================
When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes the Dark Warrior, the purveyor of good, with a voice of silence and a mission of justice. - Steve "Sting" Borden |

(The) Sportster is primitive, simple, and powerful. There are much more sophisticated bikes, faster bikes, lighter bikes. But, there are none that hold the spell on me that this one does. That's the kind of thing that I wish for all bike owners |

| Unfortunately a previous commitment to a charity that morning prevents me from attending to honor Sgt. Nelson, but I should be back in time to meet up and honor Sgt. Lannaman. |

Judge me by my size do you? And well you should not; for my ally is the Force. |

Someone please ride for me. Denise was my best friend in Iraq. I just found out today that she died.
I am a rider. I belong to a WITW chapter in san diego called sol sisters. I met denise in september '04, and we deployed to Iraq together. She re-enlisted while we were there, and then she volunteered for a second mission. I came home. I've been waiting for her to come back. We drank scotch together. Hers, with 3 ice cubes, always.
I was just thinking about a ride here in san diego thursday, and what a great organization this was, then I found out about denise. while trying to find out about what happened, i found out that you were riding for her.
I wish i could be there. I don't know how. I go to school full-time, work part-time, and oh yeah, I have drill this weekend. and a post deployment health screening. I don't think I will do so well in the screening just right now. I don't know her family or anyone there that I can contact.
She was a gun truck commander. She risked her life every day to keep convoys safe. I was a recovery driver, a tow truck driver. we had one hell of a year in iraq. When we weren't on the road, I was dragging her out of her room and away from her books to go get coffee with me.
When i got back home in one piece, one of my dreams was to get my motorcycle license and buy a motorcycle. Now I have two, and ride every day to work. I appreciate being alive.
I thought when I left Iraq last year, it was over. Denise was my last friend to come home. I was saving a bottle of champagne for her and looking forward to her coming to California. She wanted to become a partner with a friend of mine who has a painting business.
One of my last emails to her, I told her I drank a bunch of scotch for her, then threw it all up. I told her I'd try again some other weekend. She wrote back laughing and said i was too funny.
Thanks for riding. Please know that are honoring a very brave, and very amazing soldier (and sailor, prior navy) and woman. |

So I want to say again, thank you all for honoring Sgt Lannaman. We all had a very long day with some who would have caused a disturbance and the PGR star did shine very brightly.
