Outstanding. Snap, Chip, Jeff, Waldo, Jim, all who have done something - thank you all. I'm proud every day to be associated with this group. Godspeed and the thoughts of all of us here in Indiana will be with of you all on August 4th as you bring Gabriel back to his Dad. It WILL be a glorious day. My little boy, Joe, and I sent a card and a donation today to do our part. He's too little to understand what we just did or and the sacrifices that have to be made but someday he will. And he will be proud.

There's no right way to do a wrong thing.
There's also no wrong way to do a right thing.
The rest is just details....

Why am I a PGR? The answer is in my avatar. I stand for those who protect the three of them.

Snap,

Ditto, here, Cajun!  This is awesome!  Snap and all those who have pulled together to make this happen for such a great hero, his young son and a loving family, I salute each of you.  This will truly be a joyous occasion and one that should, rejoin not just a father and son but help redouble the efforts and drive of this tremendous organization!

The LadyTrog and I are putting our new Ultra in the shop to have it triked this Friday and will have it soon, along with a trailer to tow our flags along with as many folks as we can join up with coming from the west.  We plan to be in position on the evening of the third ready to fall in for duty on Friday 8/4.  Any info on hotels in the area would be great.  We'll be talking offline with Cajun about the logistics for the trip from here.

God bless this family and the members of the PGR!

Trog, I have a tennis tournament in Columbus next weekend. I'll do a hotel recon while I'm there. I'll focus my search around the mall area.

As a father who lost a son to SIDS, I plan to ride this one, too, Snap.  I understand and empathize with his father's wishes completely.  My son is buried far away, too.  I want to be a part of bringing this one home to his daddy.

Unfortunately, my Uncle has made plans for me, and I won't be able to attend in body, but I will definitely be there in spirit. Snap, you and the gang have worked a miracle for this family, and I am glad that it happened...

Snap - thank you. PGR - thank you. I am ashamed I just found this thread. The people here are the MOST respectful group I have EVER ridden with, or just been around, period. I'm glad I'm alone. I"m sitting here at my desk balling while I type this.

I have something that prevents me from coming in August with my new friends CAJUN, Trog and Lady Trog. My prayers will be there. My well wishes for this family's future will be there. My unwavering pride in this organization will be there. I am truly amazed. My Father and my father are certainly smiling down on you.

Folks, many details are still being worked out. loehring is doing a fantastic job at trying to coordinate the multiple stages to this mission. I know of a couple details, but will derfer posting to either Chip or Snap. Trust me, there is much to get approval for. From the TSA, Airport Authorities, the 2 airlines involved, not to mention all the local stuff. This is going to be big. To answer one question, this is all going to start in Salt Lake City and end in Alabama. All of us ask for patience. If there is no harm, after I check with Snap, I'll post the Ga staging area so everyone knows where to make plans to go. Thank you all for your support of this mission. More to come.

This is to annouce that RC, the new Asst National Liaison, will begin his new duties as of today. The reason for posting here is that his first assignment is as co-ordinator on the deMoors re-union. I would like to congratulate RC on his appt to Nat Support Staff and express my confidence in his ability to help me in the varied tasks that seem to fall on this position.

SnapMonster!  We just heard of this mission when you spoke of it this weekend at the Veterans Cemetery dedication in Canton.  When we got home, Bill got on here and looked up this post and read the story.  He walked into the kitchen with tears in his eyes and said, "I'm not even off the first page yet AND WE'RE GOING'
So you'll see Rainy and Bill there in any capacity you may need us.
