I think you do not understand. You would have to set up the PayPal account. Not the bank. You would reference your bank account inside of PayPal. Go to www.paypla.com and it will tell you how to do it. Then people can email donations to you for this cause.

Bert,
Didn't know you live in Germany. This account is through a 501C Tax exempt account. At the time we started this project PGR didn't have an account we could use. The red tape since 9/11 to do something like this is unbelievable. Maybe next time PGR will have something we can use. This account is handled by Maxwell AFB credit Union. Possibly you could go to the military credit union you use over there and they can do a transfer to Max. I talked to Keesler and they can do it.
I'm sorry if this makes it difficult for you but it's all we have to work with at this time. Theanks for your service. I served with 3rd Arm Div near Butzbach 1972-1975. Has it changed much over there?
E-mail me if I can help. Thanks for your support.

Just talked with my friend at the credit union - first, they don't have any way of setting up an access for credit card donations via PAYPAL, so please keep the checks coming.

Second, the current balance is $1540 and rising...........

PGR ROCKS!!!

The account holder needs to do it not the credit union, if you get it set up it will make this happen much faster.

Bottom line: It's a club account that we graciously diverted for the purpose of collecting the donations, without having to go thru the BS of establishing a separate account, FEIN, etc. It's not going to be linked to PAYPAL, and when the collected donations are tallied and disbursed, it'll go back to what it was doing before this.

That sounds like a great idea.  I will go to my credit union today and check it out.

Ok, I'm just now reading this thread for the first time. Our check will be in the mail tomorrow. It won't be what we would like to give, but it will be what we can do for now.

God bless and comfort this family.

Hey folks,
As of 10:00 am this morning, the available balance in the Gabriel deMoors fund is $1630.30. Way to go folks, We'll have it all in plenty of time. My guess for a date is mid-May. Of course that is up to Mrs deMoors. But that is how she seems to be leaning.
I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Keep those cards and checks comin' .....

A number of folks have included cards with their donations. Those cards
are being collected and will be presented to the family when the mission
occurs.

This is an amazing show of love and support for one of America's Heroes!!!!

No, we already have the required amt. With checks in the mail, I'm sure we are over goal. However,we want to fly Mrs deMoors and the kids here and back, We have some things working to bring his parents from Canada ( his mother is in a wheelchair and did't make his funeral) There is a couple who has  promised the difference between what we collect and what we need, so it's a done deal. PGR is great. I don't know how to thank those who have helped with this. We have until the end of April so we'll just wait and see what happens.

There really is no ceiling on the amount collected. It was decided before the account was opened that anything that exceeded the amount necessary to defray the various expenses would be directed toward educational expenses of the surviving child/children. There have been offers of additional assistance, both monetary and in kind services, but until they actually materialize we have no idea what will actually transpire. If you have not donated and feel inclined to do so, please know that ALL of the funds collected will ultimately go toward assisting the family either through the mission to reunite the infant and his father, or to assist surviving children. The generosity of those who have donated is beyond words, and as one PGR rider to another - Thank you for stepping up!!

Hey folks,
Just color me slow. I spoke with Vendella deMoors today. We spoke at length about what she is going through and what PGR has meant to her. I want to tell all of you that words connot reflect my pride in being called one of you. My thrill of the day is that her son Dmetri will ride on the back of my scoot when we bring his brother to lie beside his daddy.
Love you all.

Thanks Tucson,
Good idea, we're already working on that and we may have a free ride for his parents round trip from Canada. Another PGR with a big heart has got a collection of frequent flyer miles he wants to donate. We aready have enough to do the mission and Vendella deMoors has requested that any overage go into and education fund for Lt deMoors children. It's a done deal, all we are waiting for now is a date when she can pull the kids out of school for a few days and for all the family and friends from bothe countries can make the trip. I'll keep everyone posted. I talk to Vendella at least once a week ( she is a Colorado PGR member ) You can't believe how much of a help to her you all have been. She likes having almost 16000 that she can call friend. Me too.

Snap,

More $$ on the way.

There's not many things that can soften this hard heart of mine,  but thinking of little Gabriel holding his daddy's hand in Heaven looking down on the things ya'll are doing for his family warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes every time.

Just when I start getting discouraged about this messed up world we live in, God shows me how much love there is still left around us. It's stuff like this that keeps me going.  I'm very proud to be a part of this organization. God Bless all of you.

I'll do my best to ride with ya'll for the deMoors, just let me know when.
