My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Tibbs. I would be honored to be there for Mr. Tibbs, but I am a volunteer van driver for the DAV and I have some veterans to take down to the Saginaw VA. I will take some time at 1400 to say a prayer for this brave veteran.

I am one of Martin "Al" Tibbs sons, and flew in from Kansas yesterday. As a retired USAF veteran, along with my two brothers, both US Army Vietnam Vets, we would be honored if anyone can make my Dad's service this afternoon. I am a American Legion Rider in Kansas, along with being a PGR rider with several missions under my belt. Thank you for your condolences, may God bless you all, and God bless the USA!! Wayne Tibbs |

Wayne, please accept my deepest condolences and my heartfelt gratitude for the service to our country by your father, you and your brothers. Due to the very short notice, we may not have many members there, but the PGR will be represented if I have to be the only one present. See you this afternoon. JACK (also the son of a departed WWII vet) |

MISSION COMPLETE Though there were only 5 of us that could make this very short notice mission, our PGR Brother Wayne Tibbs from Kansas and his 2 brothers, all 3 of them vets by the way, were pleased that the PGR was there to honor their father and pay our respects to the family. They all understand that the small turnout was due to the very short notice and the wet weather and not from lack of interest on the part of the Michigan membership. Our small line of flags stood off away from the graveside canopy, but facing the family and guests. We were in the area of the Army Honor Guard and the Milford American Legion Post #216 color guard who executed the gun salute and Taps. At the completion of the services, we traded "thank you" with the active duty Army Honor Guard and the American Legion Color Guard. After the funeral, the family invited us to the American Legion Post for a luncheon and refreshments. At the Post, we humbly accepted thanks from several of the family and other attendees for being there to honor their relative and friend. I am sure that had we had a longer notice we could have had a great turnout to honor this hero, a member of the Greatest Generation.
RIDE SAFE ALL,
JACK |

A rainy day ended as a warm sunny ride home from this touching ceremony. What respect this family demonstrates for our country and the deserving pride they hold for Mr. Tibbs!
Again thank you to the Lynch Funeral home for allowing us to stage and welcoming us before the ceremony.
