Jackson TN area PGR memeber here. Howard was born in Jackson TN and his grand mother still lives here. I will call her and see if I can help her in any way. I feel Marine losses especially hard, having served with them during my tour of 20 yrs as a Hospital Corpsman. March family, stand proud. He was the best of the best, a Marine. You are now part of a family that will reach out and comfort you. I will try to make contact with Howard's grandmother.

I hope you will allow the PGR in Buffalo to ride in honor of your Marine. It will be an honor to help his grandmother any way I can. I shall not fail her.

Dennis "DOC" Lee
Hospital Corpsman First Class
Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist
United States Navy Retired
Ride Captain- All over west TN and sometimes straying into other states as well.

I ride for all those who have gone on to their last port call.

Riding with me: LT TERRY FUSSNER (she was a friend first, navy officer 2nd)

Carlos Hixon (former Doc- killed by a stupid drunk driver - we lost a talented musician who made folks smile)

SmokeyMountainSporty- ( I talk to him when I feel twiggy on the road, gone, but still so very much here with us).

Howard...where to start.  I was one of his recruiters while stationed at the Marine Recruiting station in Lafayette Square, downtown Buffalo.  Although I wasn't his actual recruiter as his school fell into a different sector, it was just two of us in that office, which made everyone a small family.  He scored extremely high on the ASVAB and could have done just about any job that we have to offer, but he chose Infantry.  Thats what he wanted to do and none of us could change his mind.  Most people will tell you that our fallen were great peolple with large hearts, as is the case here.  He was the kind of  kid that brought a smile to our faces when he walked in.  He didn't smoke, drink, didn't try drugs, just a clean-cut kid, with a warm and bright smile.  Pierre(Sgt Harper) called me on Tuesday to break the news.  To Lisa, Im soo sorry for your loss.  He was such a good man.  I wish there was something that I could say to make things better except what I've already stated, the facts.  The facts that everyone that met him would find to be true and exact.  I would like to thank you and your family for the opportunity to be involved in his life and for meeting such a well rounded young man.  God bless.

Howard, you will be missed.
Rest in peace

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. We now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

I would ask that you all refrain from posting information until I get a confirmation from the CAO. This is NOT a confirmed mission, and we are trying to get thi information out as soon as we hear from the family.

Thank you all for your help and dedication. It is very much appreciated

PGR Friends-
I screwed up! I shouldn't have posted that information from the WGRZ.COM web site due to copyright laws and because of the confusion it can cause! Please accept my apologies!!! I didn't mean any harm. I just wasn't thinking clearly!!! :-( I have since deleted the post....Please disregard any of that info....Stand by for info. from State and Ride Captains. Again, I apologize......

Sincerely-

Excelsior,
Thanks for posting that.

Folks, we all have to watch the info we put here so we don't cross wires on any of the missions.
I will be posting early this afternoon whether it is confirmed or not.

Again, I know it is short notice, but I want to thank all of you for your patience and for having such big hearts.

It never ceases to amaze me how much concern and dedication you all have. I am very proud and honored to be one of your captains

God bless.

STAND DOWN.......STAND DOWN.......STAND DOWN.......STAND DOWN

We Do Not have a mission.

Because there of a change in the CAO for Lcpl March, there was not enough time to coordinate and speak with the family for the PGR.

Thank you all so much for your desire to honor this hero, and I know there will be thoughts and prayers for him and his family.
