It's time to step up Minnesota.
You don't have to have a motorcycle to honor a hero.
Just a heart.
I will look forward to meeting you and joining you in a sincere display of our respect for our fallen hero Andrew J. Kemple.

I wanted to thank the Patriot Guard for coming to Andy's funeral yesterday. It meant a lot to us. Although I couldn't make it to the funeral, you guys did, and Andy's momma didn't have to face them idiots alone.
I am also from Cambridge, MN, and I worked with Andy a few years back. I knew him before his character changed. September 11th had a lot to do with that, I think. His momma said that Andy really grew up after 2001 and enlisted because he believed in the mission of the war. He died doing what he thought- no, what he knew was right.
Anyway, thanks for the support the Patriot Guard is giving our fallen guys and gals. I plan to attend every funeral I can, though college makes that somewhat difficult. Your mission has inspired a lot of folks to start making a difference, and I think that counts for something. So, thanks. Ya have my support 110%.

It's not aptitude but attitude which gains altitude.

Great Job on helping Andrews family!
I just joined am here to help with the next one! These men and women deserve to go to rest in peace and not be bothered by that so called church in Kansas. Lets let these family members of our fallen to be proud and not have to put up with those types of people. Best to show up in numbers to show our thanks for what they have given for freedom! GOD BLESS THE KEMPLES AND OUR TROOPS!

I am very proud i am able to be part of a great group of Americans the Patriot Guard Riders.  I know we made a difference yesterday not only for the family but for our nation by being there.  I feel it is getting great publicity on talk radio, news print and tv.  We need to make sure if we get a chance to call or e-mail radio stations, tv, etc we take advantage of it.  I was on KTLK as a caller this morning and i sent an e-mail asking for Americans to get out and support our heros who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  They only read part of my e-mail but i believe i was able to get the point out.  Make sure you tell everyone about what these crazy people are doing.  I am amazed how few know about what has been going on.  God Bless our Troops!!!

I just joined myself. Until this ride I didn't know the group was active in Minnesota. I have the license, but do not have a bike at present. I will be to the next one available (Praying there won't be a need for me, but, I'm a realist, we're at war.) I will show in my ministerial white collar, leather vest and jacket. And I will proudly join the group in doing what we can to shield the family and friends of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country. There is no logical reason why the grieving family and friends of these soldiers should have to be accosted by this hate group.

Rest Well, Cpl Andrew Kemple.

My husband and I was honored to be there to witness the Patriot Guard's response to the Kansas 'Church's sad display. Now we are Patriot Guard Members.

Oh bless her heart. What a painful moment for Cpl. Kemple's mother. Just reading this brings a lump to my throat.
I'm so glad you all were there so she could also see and feel the compassion and honor that Americans extend to her, the family, and her heroic son.

Anoka, MN Feb. 23rd, 2006

I had been contacted earlier the day before the service that there would be heavy media coverage of this mission.
Andrew was 23. So young and yet so full of a sense of duty, that he was moved after the attacks of Sept.11th that he enlisted to do what he new was right and needed to be done. Andrew was a decorated member of the 101st Airborn.
I was really heart warmed at the response on such short notice and that we had the members there that we did. They are a fine group. We were joined by other patriots that were like minded and stood with us in a show of respect and honor.
The UGs showed and you all know the rest of the story. Typical modus opperandi.
   Nuff said about these goofs.
I had a brief conversation with the Mayor of Anoka. He was concerned that there may be trouble between the two groups. Which would expain the police barricades and tape. I assured him that we are here to honor a hero and there will be no trouble. I also spoke with a local television station and CNN and explained why we do what we do and how we do it.
Kim and Lisa, two wonderful ladies joined us and helped with flags for everyone. They do a great deal for the troops.
We sang songs from the unofficial official PGR song book to help offset the rantings.
Andrew's mother came across the street and confronted the UGs. This lady has real backbone and when I saw it on CNN, I had tears in my eyes.
I didn't know what was happening because I had my back to them.
I'm glad that the media was there. They captured what happened and has brought Minnesota to it's feet in a unified clammer to put a stop to these hateful displays.
I would ask you all that you wrap a prayer around Andrew's mother. She is one special lady.
The UGs left, to a chorus of "Hit the road Jack".
After the service VFW members and active service crossed the street to shake our hands and give us a hug.
It's pretty hard at this point to keep the mist choked back.
The LEOs were very appreciative of the way we handled ourselves too.
God Bless you Andrew J. Kemple, Minnesota Hero.
