Folks, I know this is very short notice and well out of the norm, and I can assure you all from the very depths of my heart, that your support is very much appreciated.
My mother was the wife of a now retired police officer and Korean War Sailor, and some of her greatest joys were standing up for those in uniform. My father, the adjutant of Legion Post 26, is so appreciative of your desires to come in this time of sorrow, that words cannot even begin to suffice.
THANK YOU ALL, May God go with you.

ITINERARY UPDATE;
Preach,
The visitation for mom is from 4-7 this evening at Weert's Funeral Home. The funeral starts at 10:00 Thursday morning, with burial rites being performed at the mosoleum at Memorial Park. I'm not sure why, or how it came about, but the bugler for American Legion Post 26 in Davenport called last and informed us that he would be attending and wants to play TAPS for her at the cemetary. He feels that 55 years as the spouse, sister and mother of military veterans and police officers, and all that that entails, earned her this honor.
Dad and I will personally visit with all who ride to express our thanks to them for this special mission. Following the burial, everyone is invited to join the family at First Christian Church, 510 E. 15th St., Davenport for food and coffee before their return trips home.

FINAL INTINERARY; Rally point will be at Weerts Funeral Home between 09:00 and 09:30. A mapquest link is posted below. We shall stand a flag line outside the funeralhome then provide an escort to the cemetery. Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery is only a short distance away so if you have large flags mounted, please bring them. You will also need to bring your own flags to hold on the line since our support flags will not be there.

Eric,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Having lost my father, even so many years ago, I understand your pain at losing someone so close. I hope you can find comfort in knowing she is now out of pain and will be forever riding with you on your missions. I bet she will even know 'shortcuts' you haven't found. ha I will not be able to attend but know my heart and prayers will be with all of you tomorrow. May God hold you all in His arms at this time.

It’s this family thing called the PGR. No thanks need to be said. We are there for each other. Sorry we couldn’t stay for the luncheon. Troll needed to get back, he got there just in time to pick up a little girl from school. Made her birthday very special to be picked up from school on a motorcycle.
