Spc. Gene Bachman III will returning Stateside Thursday Sept. 14th. They will Demob at Fort Dix, N.J. for about 6 days. Spc. Bachman is my son, He was injured on July 7th 2006 when an IED went off injuring 5 of 8 members of the patrol in the town of Hit (pronounced Heet). He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds recieved in action on Sept. 1, 2006. I spoke to Capt. Hobbs today and she would love to have the PGR there to show our support for the 221st. There is no set date for there arrival as of yet, she assures me they will have a date by Wed or Thursday of this week. Needless to say we are overcome with joy that our son is coming home from war. It has been a long year, especially the last few months. If you live in or around Atlanta please check back to this post as I will keep you all informed as araingements are being made. Capt. Hobbs told me today that she will have a brief 5 minuet or so ceremony and let the soldiers go be with their families.
For all PATRIOTS,
Gene Jr.

Congratulations on his homecoming. I am so thrilled for you and your family. I know what those last couple of months of waiting were like. I prayed every day that my son was over there.

Praise God!!! Please keep us posted if this is going to be an official Welcome Home Mission--I've been waiting for one of those (nice to do one of those instead of all the funerals).
