I know for a fact that we are, because I'll be coming home with them.  Sometime in early November.  That's all us troops know for sure.

We're supposed to be at Ft. McCoy for a few days before they release us to go home.

   That is great news. I've been waiting for a mission with a good time at the end. My birthday is the end of November and the bike always stays fueled up for one last ride, so I will have no problem coming out and making some noise to say "Welcome Home" (and the beers on me at "The Bluegill")

Is there some way to put together a homecomming ride for these guys? What is the process? I know they have been gone a long time! I would be happy to help coordinate, even if I am clear over here in Michigan! Please let me know! CPTJAM

Hey CPTJAM,
We were just on a mission of return troops of the 428th last night 23 Sept 06 at Volk Field, it was AWESOME!!!!! all the people that came on the mission were just GREAT! We are HONORED to be a part of the PGR. The man who set this up is hlange, he has a HEART of GOLD and a love of his country. I say this for all of us; but just want to give him credit as he and everyone else who is in charge of these things set many things aside to do these missions. I am saying that is was our HONOR to be a little part of our HERO'S comming home. You can get hlange on the Thread you will see his name on there. We would love to be a part of this again. We will have a mission for these guys, one of them is the son of my best man. As soon as we get word on what is happening we will get it out, everybody keep their ears to the ground so we find out as soon as possible.

I don't want to say too much, but we're SUPPOSED to be arriving at Volk Field sometime around the 5th or 6th of Nov. You'd have to get in touch with any of the company Family Readiness Groups. A Company out of Ft. Atkinson will be one of the first companies to arrive home.

Maybe you guys could escort us from Camp Douglass to McCoy?

I have an unconfirmed report that elements of 2/128 will be returning to CONUS on 8 NOV 2006. I have no other details, and hope Wisconsin is standing by. Let's do these guys right!

OK, latest word is that it is looking like Tuesday, in the morning that they will be departing Ft McCoy and heading to the armories. If you want to show your support then it looks like the best way is a flagline in front of the armory unless the town has something else planned. Keep your ear to the ground and let's show them some good support.
