God Bless Staff Sergeant Deason and may God watch over his precious wife and family. He left this earth as an American hero who gave his all for his country and family. Even though his children will miss the opportunity to share their love with their father, they will grow up knowing that he fought and died for their freedom. American will not forget Michael. If this mission is approved I will be there to honor this American hero.

My deepest condolences to the Deason family. As I read through the story and consider my own two children, my heart aches for this young wife, son and daughter whose husband and father has been taken away too soon. As we offer our sympathies, please also accept our gratitude for the great sacrifice you have made for our country.

It breaks my heart to read the Daily Journal article on such a beautiful day, knowing that I will soon have a house full of family and friends to celebrate Labor Day. It will also be another Memorial Day at our house. We will remember SSgt. Deason and all the other American Heros who have given the greatest gift so we can be free. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of SSgt. Deason, and I will be standing by here in St. Louis for this to become a confirmed mission.

Mike is a grandson to my mother's 2nd husband. This was a very hard message to receive. I joined the PGR this past year because my own son served thru 2 deployments to iraq and came home safely, So I will be there to honor Mike Deason and his family along with the PGR. Thank all of you for your support.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Staff Sergeant Michael Deason.

May God strengthen and comfort you in this time.

I believe that all of heaven has already welcomed home Staff Sergeant Deason.

Now it is time for us to welcome home this American Hero.

I was born and raised at the other end of Missouri, K. C, Mo., and now I live in a distant corner of the country and will not be there in person to honor this American Hero but I am there in my prayers, in spirit and in my heart.

The outstanding life and example of SSGT Deason declares to this counrty and the entire world why that part of the United States is the "Heartland".

Staff Sergeant Michael Deason loved this country and now we will respond to this love and sacrifice with our never dying respect and honor of this American Hero.

To our brother, our American Hero:

Soar now like an eagle in the sky, as over all you’ve known you fly,
Soar up and into the light, Heaven’s gate is now in sight

Enter the fulfillment of your belief, where there is no sorrow or grief,
Safe now from all that harms, rest in God’s loving arms.
