The Governor of Indiana has graciously, again, offered his overflow parking lot for our staging area. Details of staging will be posted soon by the lead RC on this which is DNR.

Many organizations will rally to be involved in this event and we are but one of those. Let's show what the PGR stands for by attending and displaying what we do best - Showing Respect and Honor without fanfare and with dedication to the cause and ignoring those with a political agenda. I say this because there may be some outside agitators attending that might try to turn this solemn celebration of our military into something other than one of Respect and Honor. I am confident that the PGR attendees will, as always, be the ones to show restraint and stand with dignity.
God Bless You All!!!

04 Sep 2006 4:20 PM Alert
We have been invited to participate in the 2nd annual Support Our Troops Rally in Indianapolis, IN on Sunday October 8th.  The rally will take place at the Indiana War Memorial in downtown Indy.  The Pentagon recorded and distributed a video of this event to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other places last year.  They have requested that the event be recorded again this year.

Our staging area will be the Governors Mansion overflow parking lot at 46th and Illinois St.  (This is where we staged for the Memorial Day ride to Crown Hill)  Please plan to arrive at the staging area no earlier than 1100.  We will leave the staging area at 1200.  This will allow us time to park, get to the flags and "form ranks" on the north steps of the Memorial.  We have been asked to stand during the ceremonies.

The event is being presented by USMC Families (www.usmcfamilies.com, I believe there is even an event t-shirt and sweatshirt available) and will coincide with a Legion convention.  This event is not affiliated with any political party.  It is just a rally to show support for our troops.  I believe this is a great honor for us and a fantastic opportunity for us to show our support of our troops in a grand way.  So, come on Indiana and surrounding states!!  Let's show our support for our men and women in our armed services in a way that no one will forget!!!
