This is a confirmed mission, the family has requested the PGR to participate.
The funeral will be at Kettle Falls Elementary School at 11 AM on Saturday 9/2. There will not be a burial service.
Pfc Dehle's body arrives TONIGHT at Spokane International Airport - so due to the late notice, no escort will be possible.
The only mission will be the service on Saturday.
MMCGunny will be leading this mission, watch this thread for updates and a ride plan....
Rest easy, PFC Dehle......You hav earned it.
Thanks,

To the family and friends of Matthew Dehle,
Thank you for the life and service to Nation of this young man. I regret we had to lose him, so young. May your bereavement be brief. We call these men heros because of how they lived for us. Unfortunately, the price of freedom remains high.
Time for some Hog Music.

Oregon mourns the loss of yet another and we will stand by to ride, until it's over. We attempt to express ourselves to the family and friends of this warrior in the hope it will in some way help to alleviate your grief. May we assure you, as we ride, that we will "Never Forget".
God bless you and go before you.

| There is a possibility that we will have the honor of escorting Matthew from the funeral home in Colville to Kettle Falls Middle School tomorrow morning. If you are interested in this opportunity, you should arrive at the rally point in Kettle Falls at 8:30 AM - if we are invited to participate in this I will find out tomorrow morning and we can quickly scoot down to Collville. |

This is the slightly modified ride plan posted by Cal Edwards for Gunny:
For those riding North on 395 and who want to participate in the escort of PFC Dehle from the funeral home in Colville to the Middle School in Kettle Falls, please turn left on 1st St and go 1 block to the stop sign. The funeral home is on the left (155 West First). Turn right and park on the cross street at 0900. If you arrive in Colville earlier, there is a restaurant called Park Place at the South end of town, or several fast food places right before it. These food joints are only 5 minutes from the funeral home. I think there is a restaurant right next to the funeral home, also.
For people traveling South on 395 toward Kettle Falls, the staging area is the previously mentioned motel in the middle of town called The Kettle Falls Inn. It's on the left (if you're headed South) and the sign says "Biker friendly". Staging time there is 0830 if you want to participate in the escort (we'll ride to Colville and back), or 0930 if you don't. The escort won't actually leave Colville until 0930, so there may be no one at the motel until around 1000.
The Middle School is 5 minutes from the motel. Turn right (if you're headed South on 395) at the light (the only light in Kettle Falls) and go about 3 blocks. If the road didn't turn to the right, you'd run into the Middle School. There are several places to stage at the school, and the Kettle Falls police may want us in a particular one, so right now it's not clear where it would be. I'm sure if you're late you'll be able to find the PGR folks.
