Doc,  Droptank Willie and myself will be coming to this one.
May go down to the Harrisonville thing a little later in the day, but will be there at Raymore to welcome home our hero, before that.
Think this homecoming is more important to attend than the other event.
See you at Raymore.

I'll definitely be in Raymore for this homecoming!  ... and with my new large flag!  I've also thought of going down to Harrisonville afterwards as well.  I've got a buddy who lives down there whose told me the whole town's expecting us.  Flyers have been posted up throughout town.

For those not familiar with the Belton/Raymore area, Lowes is east of US 71 on the south side of MO58. Lowes is east of WallyWorld{Wal-Mart}. You can't see the sign from the US71 exit area and traffic is a roaring female canine at that time of day in the 71/58 interchange. The lights are goofy and the cagers are worse. Be Careful.
I'll see you at Lowes.

I spoke with Tommy's father Jim on Saturday night.  They were able to go down and see Tommy in OK when they returned.  He wanted to thank everyone that will be able to make this Welcome Home, and to let everyone know that Raymore and Harrisonville are pretty close to each other for anyone who wanted to go by Harrisonville after Tommy's ride.

Thanks Tommy and very glad you are home.

If there are any riders headed up from Southwest Missouri, we can meet and follow them up. I'll be in a cage for this one, since my rider is not keen about being on just two wheels. Also, if anyone needs a ride, or to have anything transported up, let me know.

I want to come, too!!! I'll be riding up from Lebanon. I'll probably take the 64 to the 65 and then hit the 18 to the 7, etc. But I'll be happy to meet anyone if they'd like!

Welcome home AMN Byrd.  I thank you for your selfless service.  I'm SO sorry I won't be able to make this Welcome Home or the Harrisonville mission.  I've decided to go to Farmington to honor a fallen brother on the 9th.  I know you'll understand.

Best Wishes Always

Ok, hm, imagine that... plans have changed! *L*  Since the Farmington mission has been changed to Sunday, I may be able to make it up after all.  I'm going to a friends' house tonight to discuss the possibility of their attending as well.  New members, first ride so I'm hoping it'll all work out.

I won't have access to a computer after 330p this afternoon so if you want, email me and I'll give you my cell.  I'm not too sure about posting it here!

But I definitely need SOMEone's number so I can call and get everything coordinated... I usually don't have a clue where I'm going *L* until I get there!

Whirlwind, I have your number but will you be on this mission?  or the Harrisonville mission?  I sure want to be able to find you guys!

I plan to be at the Harrisonville mission, and I also have extra PGR armbands.  I believe you were looking to purchase one.

I was really glad I was able to ride in both the Raymore Homecoming for Tommy Byrd and this Salute to American Heros. A few thoughts...

1. It was wonderful to see a family welcome home their soldier and to see the joy and pride they were able to share with him.

2. It is always a pleasure to thank a soldier.

3. Many of us did not know that each fold of the flag actually has meaning. Here is the link to read each one of them.. http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/more/folds.htm

4. When a worn American flag needs to be destroyed, you can contact your local VFW or Elks Lodge who can properly handle this. They are happy to accept your donation for this service.

To Our Ride Captains: Thanks for organizing us for both of these events. Your leadership keeps us strong!

It was truely an honor and a privilege to be there for this young man.
It seemed like that he was surprised to see so many of us there.
I am sure that it was a proud day for him (and us as well).
Doc did a nice job getting this mission organized.
From what I counted, there was 21 motorcycles and four support vehicles.
I would have estimated the PGR member count at about 30 to 35.

God bless this young man and his proud parents (and grandparents).
Thank you Tommy Byrd for protecting us and serving in our military.
