                              PRELIMINARY ITINERARY INFORMATION

Visitation services for Joshua will be Thursday, September 7, from 1800-2100 at Fisher's Funeral Home, 590 East Main St., Pomeroy, OH.  We have NOT been asked to attend the visitation.  Anyone having a desire to do so will be doing so simply to pay respects, not as the PGR.

Services are scheduled for 1100 on Friday, September 8, also at Fisher's Funeral Home with interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Pomeroy, OH.  I am awaiting a return call from the funeral director as to the family's wishes on providing escort to the cemetery.

We will be staging @ 0915 at a location to be determined later today.  Ride briefing and departure will be NLT 0945 so as to allow our arrival by 1000.  Boccie is currently scouting the area to find a suitable location.  Watch this thread for final details later this afternoon.

For those unfamiliar with the area, Pomeroy is a very small community with Main Street being located right along the Ohio River on SR 833.  If possible, we would like to have an approximate number of members that plan on attending the services.  Please either post here or send me an e-mail indicating your intentions to be here.

Concise directions to Pomeroy will be posted along with final staging information.

THIS IS NOW A CONFIRMED MISSION

I just finished speaking with Joshua's wife and she has told me that she would like us to attend the services. Joshua has not yet been returned to the US and no dates are set for the services at this time. I am working to get an RC for this mission and will post more information as soon as it becomes available.

God bless the Jones family and comfort them in this time of loss and sadness. Their hero and ours has fallen in the defense of freedom, now let us honor him and support them.

God Bless you Spc. Joshua D. Jones.

Many young men and women do not choose to take up such an honorable duty and give your life for the freedoms of others. Many people consider Superman, Spiderman, Whatever-man.. but YOU, my brother, are a TRUE HERO to me and everyone else who appreciates the freedom men and women like you allow us to have.

My condolences to the family and friends of Spc. Joshua D. Jones. Please know in these hard times, he made the ultimate sacrifice, and that is something that is to be proud of, and to remember him with a smile and tears of rememberance of the good times and what a honorable young man he was and will always be. Please know that we are here for you, and that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Spc Jones.  May God's mercy and comforting love lead through this most sorrowful time.  Take comfort in the knowledge that Joshua made the supreme sacrifice, not only for his family, but for everyone living in this great country.  He is now sitting with God, watching over all of you, still.  Know that over 51,000 Patriot Guard Riders are at the ready, in body and spirit, to show honor and respect to Joshua.

Stand at ease Joshua.  Your mission on this earth has been completed.  May you rest in everlasting peace, taking comfort in the knowledge your sacrifice has not gone un-noticed.  We salute you soldier!  Mere words cannot express our gratitude for your service to America.

Awaiting confirmation of this mission in West Virginia.  Will attend when word is received.

HI, My name is Kathy Jones and Joshua D Jones is my nephew by marriage.  My husband Rick and I, on behalf of the entire family, would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful words of comfort and support.  It is so very very sad.  He just found out the day before that he was going to be a father again (2nd child).

Josh was a great guy and we will all miss him more that words can say.  This is a wonderful board and I can't speak for anyone else that you have responded to , but you have helped us in this difficult time and I can only imagine how much you have helped others.

Bless you all
Kathy

Kathy,

Your thanks are appreciated but completely unnecessary, We are honored and privileged to be able to stand in support of your family and the families of our other fallen defenders. It is you and your family that deserve the thanks for the sacrifice you have made to defend our freedom and way of life.

I am currently working to contact your famlily via the Army CAO and hope we will be invited to conduct a mission of respect in Joshua's memory. Know that the PGR is with your family and sends out its collective thoughts and prayers in hope that you will find some small comfort in knowing of our gratitude and the respect we share for Joshua's service and sacrifice.

May God comfort you and your family in this difficult and saddest of times.
